Open Roleplay? Cop/Detective au

Caesar Zeppeli lived in the city, so one could say that his life wasn’t a complete bore. There was the paperwork, sure, of course being a police officer would have its lame side. But it needed to be done, so he tried not to give it too much mind. Being a police officer also had its thrilling perks, especially when he would need to pin someone, tackle them, and other physical use. He didn’t enjoy having to shoot anyone though, so he would push that to be his absolute last resort.

Lately though, Caesar’s life hadn’t called for anything extreme, forcing him to be sitting around or even staying at the police station. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but it wasn’t giving him much of a reason to move around. Is this why so many of his coworkers are obese?

Despite the not-so-exciting events in his life, there was one thing that stood out to him for the past week. A Jack the Ripper 2.0, one might call it. Not only did this culprit go after prostitutes, but victims to sex trafficking and pregnant women. It seemed as if God had heard his internal prayers of giving him something to do-- Well, this wasn’t particularly a good thing that was happening, but it would certainly prove his usefulness.

There was one catch though: He had to work with a detective that was well-known to the police. He’s heard stories about them, how they’re the next Sherlock Holmes, how they work alone-- But these were all stories right? Maybe Caesar was to be the next Sherlock, working with people he hardly knew wasn’t exactly his forte. 

The day had come where he was to meet this detective and work alongside them. He discarded his police outfit and instead work a suit and coat instead, as if this made him look more intelligent. He’d glance between his phone and his clock every now and then as he waits on this detective, eventually tapping his fingers on the desk, growing impatient.

There is a loud and impatient-sounding knocking at the door.

Upon hearing the knocking on his door, Caesar pops his head up from some philosophy book he had been reading. He stands to his feet and sets the book down on the chair he previously sat in before making his way to the door. 

“Hello?” Caesar asks once he opens the door, his hand on his hip and his head cocked ever so slightly. “Can I help you?”

Well, hello there and welcome to my blog! I am a 19 year old writer who also has been roleplaying for over 8 years. Caesar Zeppeli is my only muse on this blog, and I am absolutely down for ANY sort of roleplay. No minors here, thanks!

I know this is bland but I am certainly not cut out for making everything all fancy and hard (for me) to navigate. So yes, I am old-fashioned I guess.
