TAMMY • A person that you love so much you look for answers and acceptance within them rather than yourself.
Will was so focused on Mike's love and acceptance. He never called him a hallway crush. He said "And by Tammy I mean it was never about him, it was about me."
Will has began finding answers within himself and is very clearly still in love with Mike.

Will Byers Coming Out Scene
I feel like the odd man out for:
Loving the coming out scene and feeling it on a very personal level.
Having hope for Byler in the finale.
Not taking the Tammy thing the way everyone else is.
Not believing it's over or all for nothing.
Everyone is focused on Will saying Mike is his Tammy but no one seems to be listening to what he says immediately after.
He wasn't saying Mike is a hallway crush. He was saying "I had all the answers." In his own way. He is also shaking and anxious and overwhelmed. But yeah, Will is not over Mike in the slightest.
Rewatch the coming out scene and imagine that Mike is deeply closeted and 'coming out' scares the crap out of him. That he is hiding and micromanaging all his reactions and doesn't want to come off weird or wrong.
Idk that is how I saw it. Just me?
The fact that Will loved Mike before he knew how to love himself...
Byler isn't over for me personally but I admittedly feel a little-
about it.
I feel like Will loved Mike long before he ever loved or accepted himself. IF Mike is gay, just hang in there with me, he is not only deep in the closet but in a heteronormative relationship.
He already knew Will didn't like girls. What if Will accepted that Mike is his Tammy because- JUST LIKE WITH ROBIN:
Tammy was into Steve.
Mike is with Jane.
Anyway, that's all I have to say. Very excited and hopeful for the finale! If I am wrong, I am still so damn happy Will came out and everyone loved and accepted him, it was such an emotional scene.
That must have been a huge weight off his chest. He is ready to show Vecna he is not afraid anymore. No secrets can be used against him.
