What i miss
You know looking back through my old photos. I did not realize how much i missed some of my friends. As we get older, we lose people in our lives. It is inevitable, but it sucks. I’ve lost friends that meant a lot to me. People do move on, but it is hard to accept that your life does not coincide with their life anymore. Best friends become friends then become acquaintances. I don’t like that. I’m sad that they are not part of my life anymore.
Society Today
Just right now, I saw a article about a high school made a girl who had leave her senior prom because her dress is unacceptable. This is ridiculous! In the past 4 years since i graduated from high school, i heard so many stories of girls who had to leave school or prom because of there outfits were not code standard. As a woman, i find it demeaning and degrading because of the double standard the schools apply. Even when these girls do follow the dress code, they were still turned away because of the schools personal opinions on what is correct. Most of the girls in the news have modest styles. Nothing revealing. Denying a girl for prom, who is looking forward to it, is devastating to them. They waited for years to have a chance to be a beautiful butterfly for a night. Some girls even dream of the day prom happens. Why does school authority have the power to decide the faith of a student during paid event? I know that school has it’s place to educate young people to be a well rounded individual, but you deny someone’s self expression is to tell them something is wrong with you . My question is: What other reason or motive is there? I don’t think it is about the dress or the leggings but subtle personal attack on the student. How did leggings and yoga pants distracting? leggings and yoga pants are usually black and are easy to wear. You can not deny someone for wearing black pants that cover the entire but and legs. I can see that some guys might be distracted but there are a lot of other things around that would be more distracting people. Why don’t they ban those? I hate how we live in a society were we can not live freely or freely express ourselves. What happen to us?
I’ve never see a more accurate depiction of a drunk person.
