the lover boy lives again

Albeit, in a slightly different form.

So yes. I am trying this RPing thing again, by making a different Steely blog, one that I wanted to make originally but chickened out. I'm extremely nervous about doing this and I'm sure there are some things I've overlooked but... I'll take care of that another time.

I'm still getting my sea legs again so don't be mad if I'm still kind of quiet for a little while.

After being sure that he could carry most of the other man’s weight, Terence started walking slowly through the corridor, listening in silence to the other man’s words. He waited a moment after he was done, frowning with frustration. “This needs to stop. You know it better than anyone else it needs to.”

Steely walks slowly, still feeling dizzy. "It's stopped," he says, looking at Terence again. "I mean, after this... it's over. He got his point across, or whatever he wanted to accomplish. I'll leave him alone and hopefully he'll leave me alone." He winces slightly. It feels horrible knowing the other man might be... frustrated with him, specifically. "He saw a side of me I told myself no one would ever see again."

"I take back anything nice I said about my mun. She just found a mystery bottle of lemon lime soda under her roommate's bed, checked if it was still carbonated, and started drinking it. She has no idea when the last time they bought this soda even was. Darwin is rolling in his grave."

Steely, what do you think about your mun?

"That's a loaded question..."

"Well, I can't say I don't appreciate her obsessive love for me. I think she's got the right idea when she says I'm a princess and deserve to be pampered. But sometimes she pulls shit on me that makes me wonder if she actually hates me - like that shit with ZZ."

"I also think she needs to get her shit together and play me more often. I mean, the world is such a lonely place without the lover boy in it, isn't it?"

"She wants to die smothered between my tits and I think that says a lot about her. All in all, pretty weird chick, but at least she's self-aware."

He moves his hand away, waiting for the other to speak, to give any sign that he could move. Rolling his eyes, the butler moved close again, passing one arm under his friend’s ready to give him some support. “I can carry you, your room is not really far from this side of the mansion. You look awful..”

Steely uses Terence to get on his feet, leaning on the butler for support. "Thanks," he mutters, looking down at the ground and frowning. There are still clear, finger-shaped bruises on his neck, but he won't mention them unless asked. "I feel awful. My head is killing me, and... ugh. I-It was just a bad situation. Maybe I deserved it."

How do both of you feel about "Dan of Steel" as the dub name?

"It’s ridiculous. It doesn’t do me justice at all! And people keep making jokes about me…"

"Don’t even try to lie. You’re the opposite of fine…" Sighing, the butler kneeled beside the other man, touching his shoulder. "Can you stand?"

Steely frowned as Terence touched him, flinching slightly from it. He was still trying to chase away thoughts better left untouched. "Mh... maybe with the help of some dashing nerd," he tried to joke, though it was weak, and his smile was equally as feeble.

Steely...? I've heard some shouting a while ago, thought you were involved somehow. Are you alright?

"Terence, I... I'm fine."

The princess actually hadn't moved from his spot on the floor, now just sitting in the hallway and drying the remnants of his tears.

"The shouting was ZZ. Yes, I was involved. But I'll be okay... maybe."

"YOU PROMISE?! YOU BETTER FUCKING PROMISE! BECAUSE IF I FEEL LOVERS IN MY BRAIN WHEN I LET GO I’M GONNA FUCKING SNAP YOUR STUPID LITTLE NECK AND POP YOUR EYES OUT OF YOUR SOCKETS!"

Snapping Steely’s neck would be the easiest thing in the world with those giant arms of his. One errant jerk to the side and it would be done, that’s all it would take, he would be free of Steely’s verbal and physical assault forever.

But…he made a promise…and the one tiny noble part of his brain told him to keep that promise. Plus seeing Steely cry like a baby was satisfying as fuck.

"Now you’re gonna be nice to me from now on, the nicest person ever, one little insult and i’ll do this exact same thing to you again!"

"You’re never gonna use Lovers on me, you’ll never make fun of me, and we’re both gonna start all over again; a clean slate. We’re gonna be friends…get it?"

ZZ finally let go of Steely Dan’s neck and stood back up, brushing some stray tears off of his shirt and grimacing.

"Ugh you got my shirt all wet"

The master of fake crying was genuinely blubbering like a frightened child, kicking uselessly until he was finally let go of. It took him a moment to catch his breath, reaching up and feeling a phantom grip still on his throat.

"N... N-No..." Steely held himself, curling up on the floor. He wanted to curl inside himself and disappear. "No, no.... pl-please, just... get away from me, please don't... please don't touch me, don't hurt me anymore..." His skin was on fire with perceived sensation, the feeling of being pinned down and the vile acts that followed. The lover boy dug his fingers into his scalp, messing his hair and sobbing loudly.

In his fear, he managed to crawl to the opposite wall, leaning against it and hugging his knees to his chest.

"Plea...se... please just leave me alone, I... I can't take this," he murmured. "I... I... I'm gonna be sick..."

Steely Dan, for the second time in his life, had been reduced to a bawling mess, utterly broken in spirit. He couldn't get up, and he couldn't bare to look at ZZ.

"Oh NOW you’re being nice?! NOW?! WHY COULDN’T YOU ALWAYS BE LIKE THIS WITH ME?!"

ZZ laughed at the sight of Steely’s eyes rolling back into his head, it was just like how he had imagined it! Revenge was sweet, no, being a ghost and slamming him into the ground by his hair wasn’t enough. He wanted to see Steely Dan, the confident and cool lover boy, be reduced to a choking gasping mess.

"This is YOUR FAULT!"

Another slam into the floor

"This is how you wanted me, RIGHT?! A badass who didn’t let anybody push me around!? Well guess what princess, you’re never gonna make fun of me ever again!"

"Say it…no…PROMISE ME!"

He loosened his grip on Steely’s neck, enough to let him get one good gulp of air before closing his hands around the neck again.

"NEVER MAKE FUN OF ME AGAIN! NO MORE JOKES AT MY EXPENSE! NO MORE USING LOVERS ON ME!"

"PROMISE ME AND I’LL ONLY MAKE YOU PASS OUT!"

Struggling wasn't working. Scratching and tearing wasn't working. He could barely keep his eyes open, barely thrash against his attacker.

Steely could barely focus on the fact that he was being spoken to. "Nh!" His head hit the floor again, dazing him. Tears flowed freely down the lover boy's cheeks as he struggled to breathe.

Then, mercifully, one big gulp of air, before it was cut off again.

"I pr... I proh...!" He's having trouble speaking through the breathless sobbing. "I prm... promi..se..."

That was the best he could manage, writhing around under ZZ and just wanting this to stop. This waking nightmare, this reminder of things he'd tried so desperately to forget. He just wanted it to stop.

"It would be nicer than to stay in and hear…That noises going on inside. If anything I could get us a room or two at a very nice hotel for the night just so we can enjoy a good night rest…If you want."

"You're being so sweet! I can't believe it!"

"Sure, I'd love to. I know every club in Cairo, we can easily find somewhere to have fun. As long as you promise you won't eat me in the middle of the night, yeah?"

Oh god he was so close, so goddamn close. Those words coming out of Steely’s mouth weren’t registering in ZZ’s already numbed and anger drowned mind.

"……"

Without saying another word, the Stand User lunged forward and wrapped his hands around the lover boy’s neck. His calm face turned into a sneer of sheer fury as his grip on the other man’s neck tightened

"You fucking son of a bitch! Obsessive psycho?! I AINT A GODDAMN HEADCASE!"

"I’M SO GODDAMN SICK OF THIS STEELY! IF YOU’RE NOT GONNA STOP TREATING ME LIKE SHIT THEN I’M GONNA FUCKING MAKE YOU WISH YOU NEVER MADE FUN OF ME IN THE FIRST PLACE!"

The sneer was then replaced with a sadistic smile, keeping his hands on Steely’s neck, he forced him down onto his back and pressed his thumbs against his Adam’s Apple and slammed his head into the floor as he shook his neck

There wasn't much time to react, ZZ was like a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off. And when he exploded, Steely wasn't expecting it.

Strong hands wrapped around his neck. His eyes shot wide in confusion, immediately trying to grip them and pry them off. It wasn't helping. "N- Zzzzz... Zii..." He choked on a lack of air, fingernails digging into ZZ's skin when his grip tightened. "Pl... ease..."

It wasn't as bad, this time. He could tell himself that. The last time he'd had someone hands around his throat it was... so much worse. But this brought those memories screaming up from the depths of his mind, the feeling of being ground into the pavement, being used up and thrown away. "Pl- Pleah-!" The lover boy's head hit the ground and he teared up, scratching and digging at ZZ's hands with increasing desperation.

He didn't even think of Lovers. All that was running through his mind was "Not again!".

Steely grit his teeth, eyes rolling back and body shaking. He was on the edge of consciousness. It was easier to just... let go.
