LOW CAL PASTA (360cal) AND RICE (265cal) RECIPEEE (vegan🍃)
(3-5 servings. Depends how much you put on tha plate. The calorie amount is for THE WHOOOLE BATCH!!! NOT PER SERVING!!)
(Just a pic to show you what it looks like. You will have a whole pan full of food.)
It’s really good tasting and warm and nice and full of nutrients and just really really good would recommend would make it again lesgo.
(So I’m gonna put the amount of ingredients you’ll need for ONE of these dishes below. You can leave things out or play around with stuff this recipe is just to inspire you)
100gr of chopped union (37 cal)
225gr frozen peas and carrots 50/50 (94 cal) , (or you can buy the peas and carrots separately frozen/not frozen totally up to you same amount of cal)
30gr of chickpeas (22cal)
200gr of can of chopped tomatoes (66 cal)
18gr of a carton of tomato puree (17cal)
Spices (I used salt, pepper, kurkuma and cayenne pepper)
- 2 packages of ZERO RICE = 400gr (14 cal per package, total 28 cal)
- 2 packages of ZERO PASTA = 400gr (18 cal per package, total 28 cal)
- 200gr pasta sauce (86 cal. This may vary depending on what pasta sauce you buy. I added this bc it gives it the real pasta flavor)
I bought the ZERO PASTA & RICE at my local Action store here in the Netherlands. If you can’t find them use another low cal pasta or rice alternative.
Cut up the onions and carrots into small pieces. Fry them in a non-stick pan while you boil those peas the way the packaging tells you to.
When the peas are done and the carrots and unions are nicely fried put the peas and chickpeas into the frying pan and mix everything up nicely.
Put the tomato cubes and tomato paste into the frying pan and mix.
(If the mixture is a bit too thicc you can add some water to make it more saucey.)
Now, if you’re going for the rice make sure you read the preparation method on the package and just put them in the frying pan together with the other ingredients. Mix it up and let it simmer a little while. You’re done. Enjoy your meal(s)!!!
If you’re going for the pasta, again follow the preparation method on the packaging and put them in some boiling water for 5 minutes to soften them up a bit. When it’s done drain the water out and put your pasta into the frying pan with the pasta sauce and mix it up well. Heat it up and you’re done enjoy your meal(s)!!!
With you meal you could also add:
chicken filet (120 cal for 100gr raw/cooked chicken filet)
Or some other stuff you wanna add you do you honey
I hope this will be useful and enjoyable for some of you. Please take care of yourselves!♥️
