Seriously, please just stop this. A person’s education is more important than a person’s hair color. So what if that student has colored hair? A students hair should not be considered more important than their hair color. Jesus. Hair is just hair.

BRANDY MELVILLE
after a few searches, I found some interesting pictures of Brandy Melville, while taken in the store.
In this picture, ( look at the bottom grey shirt ) you can see a sort of pyramid tag, which usually requires a golf detacher to take off.
but in this picture…
the ones on the grey shirt at the bottom, appear to be gator tags (elastic band to remove)
and the ones on the pink halters, bottom row, appear to be pencil tags (Also require golf detatcher. I think other magnets are used on these but not 100% sure)
In this one, they clearly have large black dome tags ( which are almost impossible to take off without a golf detatcher)
wow, i just noticed that i now have 446 followers- thank you all for following me (even tho im inactive as hell sometimes lol)
HIDING LIFTS FROM PARENTS
I am the queen of deception and manipulation, the stakes are high for me already because my parents are abusive and it makes being caught so so so much worse. But I got you! Here are my tips for hiding your lifting from parents. By the way, hiding things is a long term process, if you aren’t aware. Everything you say and do can add up to suspicion. And I mean EVERYTHING (well, for me and my situation anyway, but it’s better to be safe than sorry).
First, you’re gonna have to change how you do things. And by things I mean shopping. NEVER buy things (when you do buy) full price, ESPECIALLY if it’s clothing. Start being all about the best deals (which you should be, anyway!). Start op/thrift shopping occasionally. Do clothing or stuff swaps with friends and let your parents know that. Your parents have gotta believe that you KNOW how to shop cheap (and also, I recommend you actually start learning how to do this if you ever decide to stop lifting!) Also it is a good idea for you to be saving money, have a job, yadda yadda. If you don’t have a job this makes this 100x more important. If you’ve got expensive taste, lie about how much the stuff costs in the first place. Or just say you’ve got it on sale, or thrifted it brand new omg what a steal ;)!
Something you’ve also gotta know how to do well is TETRIS. lmao. Not the game, but how to compact things and pack well. Practice a lot at home. The reason for this is when you come home with all your stuff, you won’t be carrying all your bags with things in them, you’ll only have one bag. This is important as well if you lie and say you’re studying at a library etc. Before you go home, roll, fold, shove everything into one bag so it looks like you hardly got anything at all in the first place. I’ll make another post later on how I do this in 5 minutes (it’ll be a video). You can really stuff an almost 1k haul in one tiny backpack. I promise. JUST PRACTICE.
If you need to hide hardcore (like me), specifically for bras, panties, and small clothing items, when you need to wash them take them into the shower or bath with you. Fill up a sink or bucket and let them soak with water and soap/washing liquid while you shower or bathe. After you get out, just scrub them and y'know, get the stains and clean them, rinse under clean water. Hide them within your towel and take them into your room, and squeeze excess water with your towel and hang them to dry in a place that can’t be seen. Bras and panties should be hand washed anyway, makes them last longer!
When your parents ask where you got a clothing item or whatever, just be like ‘oh it was on sale at _ (insert store)! It was $10 marked down from $30’. USE SALES AS EXCUSES MORE THAN STUFF LIKE ‘a friend gifted it to me’. Also, you could say you found it an op/thrift shop. In my area thrift stores always carry store brand stuff anyway, so it’s believeable. My parents think I legitimately spend only $30-$40 whenever I go “shopping”, which here is equivalent to ~3 or 4 hours of pay at minimum wage.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO GET RID OF TAGS, BARCODES, even the brand name if you can. Take them off before you get home or when you get home, take them off and make them completely illegible (I keep tearing until its just confetti). Or if you drink cans of soda shove them in there and then throw it out.
When hiding stuff, DON’T KEEP IT IN ONE PLACE. It’s MUCH BETTER to be caught with a SMALL AMOUNT of items than EVERYTHING you’ve ever gotten, ever. I hide stuff under my bed. On top of my closet. Under the pile of clothes in my closet. Underneath the messy pile of cords in a box. Behind my nail polish collection. Inside books (stickers, flat items can be stored in books). Inside my school bag if I have to. In the back of every single drawer. Behind my table. Hidden inside every purse/bag I own. Sure, it might be harder to find a specific item later for you, but this is the same case for your parents. Also when it’s spread out this much it ends up being 5 items max in each location, which is MUCH LESS SUSPICIOUS.
Going shopping all the time can also be suspicious. Make believeable lies like you’re going to a library to study with a friend, or you’re going to a friends house, or even if you’re hardcore like me say you have a club after school that you go to and instead of going to that go to the shops and lift (for clubs say it’s something like sports club, because you can’t prove it with work. Or say it’s art club and draw/paint shit occaisonally so you have something to show when they ask what you do there). Always tetris your stuff, make it look like you didn’t shop at all (UNLESS it’s food, just have it out, that’s really easy to lie about. Say you got hungry and popped into a store).
I know, this may seem EXTREME. But it honestly isn’t. Most people live with their parents for an entire 18 or more years, and if you plan to live with your parents for 1, 2, 3 or more years, you can’t risk it. To not be caught takes a lot of planning, a lot of time, and a lot of willpower.
Good luck!
this is sooooo important

Masterpost!!
So it’s been requested that there be a huge list of stores and the types of tags they use so here is kind of a first draft. I actually had a lot of this written down already so there’s also some general advice about each store. I’ve put down what I learned through research or experience so some stores may have less info than others. Remember this can vary depending on where you live and you should always check thoroughly for tags!
This is a guide on types of tags (with pics) and removal for reference:-)
If there’s a store left off that you want me to add or you have any corrections/additional info please message me so I can add it and this list can be more informative!
Abercrombie and Fitch/Hollister Super tags that require a hook Black dome cameras, mostly near register, but the separate rooms make for easy concealment
Aerie/American Eagle Tags for items over $30-$40 In my experience the dressing rooms aren’t well monitored so I conceal there
Aeropostale No tags Personally I don’t shop here so I don’t have much advice about dressing rooms or cameras but as always scope out the store and leave if you’re sketched out!
American Apparel RFID and pencil tags Sometimes you can find things untagged. SAs count going into the dressing room but they don’t usually hover so you can conceal a few things
Anthropologie RFID
Bath and Body Works No tags! Few cameras (mostly by register) and easy to conceal; SAs will probably greet you but if you’re nice they’ll leave you alone
Barnes and Noble NEVER try to lift medical textbooks. Paperbacks are hardly tagged, especially books that have been out awhile, but still flip through them. If you are lifting a moleskin journal or something take the plastic off first. The best method is taking a school backpack, picking out a few books, then sitting for awhile, reading/doing work/etc then just sticking your new books in your backpack
Charlotte Russe I haven’t been in awhile so idk the tags but they do monitor dressing rooms. Once I went in an unlocked dressing room and an SA knocked and asked who gave me the room and why I didn’t have a card saying my # of items etc. However I don’t think they count coming out.
Claire’s No tags Lots of mirrors in Claire’s so watch for those when finding a blind spot!
DIck’s Sporting Goods Tags require a hook I believe; almost everything is tagged in apparel Someone has to unlock the dressing room but they don’t count items
Dillard’s No tags from what I’ve heard
Forever 21 Dome ink tags; require a magnet I don’t believe they use RFIDs, so if an item is untagged it’s probably good to go; However the dressing rooms are well monitored, so concealing on the floor is probably best
Francesca’s No tags! The stores are pretty small so concealing clothes can be a bit difficult, but if they don’t count in the dressing room you’re prob good to go. Jewelry is super easy though
Free People Attentive SAs; they like to start rooms for you. Conceal on the floor and try not to linger
Garage I believe some things have tags but I know there are things that don’t. Not many SAs in my experience so pretty easy to conceal if you find a blind spot. They also monitor dressing rooms pretty well
J Crew Tag items over $30 and uses RFIDs
H&M Not sure about tags Stores are generally big and the SAs stick to the register area so concealing isn’t very hard
Hot Topic Not exactly sure about tags but I don’t think they tag everything
Loft RFID Large store usually, and I don’t remember anyone ever monitoring the dressing rooms very much
Lush No tags! Small store and attentive SAs, so getting in out as fast as possible is best
Lululemon Most things are tagged (I don’t remember what kind) and SAs count going into dressing rooms. You can conceal things like leggings and shorts pretty easily, but only if you find a good blindspot since there are cams
Madewell RFID tags
Old Navy No tags Generally few cameras and dressing rooms aren’t monitored
Pacsun Ink tags or super tags, RFIDs inside cardboard tags. I’ve also seen gator tags that you can remove with a hair band Generally inattentive SAs, few cameras (still scope out in advance), don’t count going in dressing rooms
Starbucks No tags This is one of the easiest stores. After ordering a drink just pick up whatever stuff you want and hold it like you own it. As far as I know employees don’t really do much when merchandise goes missing, but make sure no other customers are paying attention
Sephora Some tags, likely RFIDs on palettes I don’t really mess with Sephora; lots of cams and attentive SAs
Target Black dome cameras all around the store. They count going into dressing rooms. Finding a blindspot is hard but can be done. Please be extremely careful here they have plainclothes LP that are generally pretty good and they really don’t fuck around lol
Urban Outifitters Black square tags that require a magnet; RFIDs in price tags I’ve heard they count going in and out of dressing rooms and that they use magnet sensors so be careful. I also believe they have LP but not much info on that
Victoria’s Secret Pencil tags that require a magnet, but they sometimes use tags that require hook so be prepared; tag almost all clothes and bras and the occasional panty Locations vary greatly, but employees can’t act on you unless they are sure you’re stealing. There’s a lot of advice about VS floating around, and most people conceal in the dressing room, using shopper bags to bring in a lot of underwear
Ulta RFIDs on palettes There’s usually a blind spot in the hair care section, but always scope out the area well. Pretty attentive SAs but just act like you know what you’re looking for
god bless this post

The Cops Came To My House
So quite a few of you want to know the story of when the cops came to my house and I posted a story about it before I had a lot of followers so no one really saw it. So I’ll tell it again!
Last year when I was around 16/17 I started to pick up my lifting. I became such a cocky little twat, pillaging every store I could way too often. I should have gotten caught at a lot more places. But anyway, I finally realized my Ulta was a free for all, which it was and probably still is. I took over $430 worth this specific trip including Lorac Palettes and tons of foundation. My lifting partner and I went around an hour before closing and it was such a breeze. I found an empty naked palette box and decided to give it to an SA so I would seem like I’m anti-lifting and it actually worked at the time, but it ended up FUCKING ME HARD.
I told my lifting partner not to go back but 2 weeks later, what did this bitch do? She went back with 2 other friends probably trying to show them she can steal from Ulta now (thanks to me teaching her, little show off) and when she starts to leave the SA lady said “hope you enjoy your Lorac palette” referring to when we both took Lorac palettes. She tells me this and I’m super pissed, like great, you got us fucking caught. But they didn’t stop her on her way out since she didn’t steal that time. What the SA DID DO though, was get my partner’s friend’s license plate and called the cops. The cops went to her friend’s house and she ratted, so they went to my partner’s house and she fucking gave them my name and address (THANKS BITCH HOPE JAIL WAS FUN!!!) and she didn’t even give me a fucking warning, FUCK!
So I get a knock on my door the day after she went back and it’s a cop asking for ME. My parents just gave me this fucking look and I was surprisingly calm talking to him after nearly pissing myself.
So the cop tells me that I was caught on tape concealing and that the LP didn’t know until she got back from her vacation and rewatched the tapes. I’m CONVINCED she went back to watch the tapes for that night BECAUSE I turned in the empty Naked palette box. I’m so fucking stupid. Also, we were on the “shoplifters wall” with our pictures and everything. But anyway, the cop listed off the stuff he thought I took which was $80 worth instead of my actual total which was $430 and they thought I took an Urban Decay setting spray when I actually didn’t take that. So they either didn’t catch me concealing most of it or the cameras were shitty. Either way I was fucked.
So I got a ticket but ended up doing a diversion program where it never went to court and it didn’t go on my record. Easy. I told my mom about me taking more than they thought I did and she laughed and said I should fight it by putting my hair extensions in and make myself look different. My partner already had MIPs so she got jail, a fine, probation, AND a shoplifting charge on her record. Snitch fucking deserved it.
So that’s the full story of when the cop came to my house! It wasn’t all the bad cause I’m a minor so I didn’t get arrested, but my parents were kinda upset which sucked disappointing them.
Lesson: DON’T SHOW YOUR PLATES & TRUST NO ONE. I also don’t fuck with my Ulta now.
This is some shit. If you can’t trust each other, who else can you trust? You gain nothing from ratting someone else out. If you go down, go down ALONE
god damn, you dont fuckin snitch on your friends.thats not cool, man. glad your parents werent too upset though, and that its not on your record.
help me get a green card!!!!!!!!!!
hi im spencer and i never thought i would do this but basically my mother and i are mexican immigrants and we have a very big chance of getting our green cards soon. however, that costs a lot of money. about 2k per person. we’re a very poor family and cannot afford this. it would be great if anyone could donate to my mom’s paypal. any donations, no matter how small, will help. even if you cant donate, please reblog this to boost it! it would benefit us in many ways, including job opportunities, medical insurance, and we would be able to see our family after years.
again, here’s the link. please donate and/or signal boost!!!
