The Sun Comes Up Tremendous.
An old Iranian friend artist Tabaraee Anis keeps in touch. She has an ongoing ink and watercolour series "Motion as script, the horse as a sentence."
The unity of movement and language is a Persian historic tradition. Here the "Persian broken Nastaliq meets equine anatomy in fluid abstraction", she says.
("Broken Nastaʿlīq," is a fluent, fast-paced style of Persian calligraphy developed in the 17th century, characterized by its slanted, highly connected, and cursive form designed for rapid writing. It breaks the rigid rules of traditional Nastaʿlīq to prioritize speed, resulting in unique ligatures and intricate, abstract shapes often used in poetry. - Museum of Asian Art)
