“HEY. Male DEERS are terrifying I’ll have you know. Those sharp horns can kill an unexpected human. At least I don’t swim around in polluted waters comprised of fish blood and urine and what ever else nasty stuff is in those waters.”

“Blah, blah, blah. Look at me, I’m an idiot prey bit beast that mortals hunt for sport. Oh yeaaah, so much cooler. Dumb ass…”
“Have you never heard of shark fin soup? I hear its a delicacy in some parts of the world. And I be to differ. I am much more elegant and graceful than some lame shark could be.”
“OHhh look at me I’m a shark bit beast and I think i’m tougher than everyone else, and a cooler bit beast than the one that Rima has.”
“Normally I do not agree with Wolborg’s nonsense, but this time I think she hit the nail on the head with you. You are a very sad man. Your obsession is kinda creepy too… Maybe your immaturity is the reason Rima can’t summon you.”
A smug look crossed the red-heads face as he teased the spirit.
“I think, I can do what ever I want and you can’t do shit to stop me. Don’t you have some headlights to stand in or something?”
“Why you little! My immaturity has nothing to do with that! I’m just to busy making sure little miss ‘my abilities are way to out of control’ doesn’t get all overwhelmed because of her abilities! I can’t come out every single time she asks because then I don’t have the energy to regulate her abilities to a level that her body can physically handle. You haven’t seen Rima when she’s over loaded, and if you ever do you’ll understand why I don’t always come out.” Chromen flares his nostrils and proceeds to pout.
‘She was injured a long time ago, and despite my best efforts, she still ails.’ The large dragon was not happy with herself, her wings dropping a little as she reluctantly admitted her failing to the Hart bitbeast. ‘Humans are so frail. I do not know what to do, and stars forbid she get sick!’ That was what might have caught the stag’s attention, the way her poor pitiful human coughed absently as she went about her business, the small puffs of smoke that occasionally resulted and the way the scales seemed to appear and disappear around her throat.
It was one of the more mild ones, Alyssa had reassured her. But humans were Not Supposed to Breathe Smoke and Not Supposed to be Scaly.
Alyssa often thought it was cool.. or whatever the latest human phrase for delightfully interesting was, but.. it did not change that she had somehow failed in her protection.
“Believe it or not I know how you feel.” Chromen sighs while taking a spot next to the other bit beasts. With a small smile he offers her a juice box one’s Rima often bought from the store. “Despite my best efforts Rima sometimes get’s injured or sick even with my help, but that doesn’t mean we’ve failed... the fact that you’re doing what you can means a lot, and that’s a victory all on it’s own.” He closes his eyes slightly going over every high fever Rima obtained when she was younger. They weren’t as common now but it took some time for him to figure out how to be more help to her. And even now there were times when he just couldn’t protect her which resulted in one of these high fevers.
“All we can do is stand by our human’s and help them as much as our own strength allows us...”
“Jeez, I’m really not adorable….” He was supposed to be fierce spirit, not cute at all, but it seems Chromen didn’t care.
“Do you… Want us to be?”
“...Driger.” He rests his forehead against the other’s and gives a smile.
“I’v been wanting it from the moment you got stuck in this beyblade with me.” He hums the words again growing more amused by the situation.
Driger blinks at him, raising a hand to fiddle with a lock of white hair. “That so? Excuse me for believing that it would be awkward.” His composure was back, which he was thankful for. “I don’t control my own emotions very well, though.”
“I know. And that’s what makes you so adorable at times... but you don’t have to worry I’m pretty good about keeping my emotions in check.” Hell if he didn’t keep them in check then Rima would suffer because of it.
“So~ Does this mean we’re a thing now?”
“There was no way for me to have known that, I chose to keep a nice atmosphere rather than let my feelings ruin anything.” He crosses his arms, puffing his cheeks out at the ‘adorable’ comment.
“is that so?”
“Of course I wouldn’t let it get awkward. I’m a little upset you assumed that.” Again his emotions suddenly changed.
“Not only because I actually do like you, but also because it would effect Rima. I’m more mature then that I know how to not let things like that get in the way of everything else.” He wasn’t a complete baby he knew how to suppress his own emotions when he needed to.
“We share a blade. If I told you, things could have gotten really awkward… And I’m not cute…” He’s gained some of his composure back, but now he’s pouting from that comment.
“Well here we are... and it’s not awkward obviously there wasn’t anything to worry about. and then if you’re not cute then you’re adorable.” He steps away from Driger and gives him another look.
“I wouldn’t have let it get awkward.”
If Driger died right then, it would be a happy death. Luckily, he didn’t, but the world felt frozen for a moment as Chromen kissed him.
“Awhile…”
“Really?” He seemed a little surprised but was quick to shrug it off.
“Why didn’t you tell me? It would have saved you a lot of flustered faces. Then again you’re kind of cute when you’re all nervous like that.”
The tiger nods and says nothing. Everything was spinning and his face was too hot. He lost the ability to speak or maybe he was afraid of what he might say. All he really knew was that Chromen was way too close and way too pretty for him to handle.
He looked a little to smug about this, and made sure Driger knew it.
“That’s what I thought.” He grins again before finally kissing him on the lips, and stayed there for a good amount of time before pulling away.
“How long have you had a thing for me?”
“Chromen…?” Funny how a fierce and powerful ancient spirit can turn into a complete kitten when faced with such a situation. The white tiger should’ve studied these situations, but he’s old partner never got into them.
“What is it kitty? Do you want me to kiss you?” He moves his face a little closer to Drigers. A wide grin sitting on his face clearly finding amusement in the whole situation.
“Sorry, Wolborg says I’m not supposed to talk too ‘Sad, strange, little deer spirits’. Your weirdness might rub off she says.”
“I’LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I AM NOT SAD, OR STRANGE! so what if I say Rima is mine! Because she is mine. She’s my blader.” He sticks his tongue out in a childish manner.
“And you think you can just pluck her from the streets and let her get to know other bit beasts.”
❝ You act as if you’re untouchable, but I’ve seen the mightiest beasts fall before my feet. I think if you showed some respect, you would avoid getting trampled on by the hooves of my bit-beast. I certainly hope that whoever you belong to is more respectful, because right now… You’re really starting to get under my skin. ❞
“Of course Rima’s respectable! She’s the most respectable person I know! My blader would never disrespect people even if she hated them!” Wait no there’s been a few people disrespected. But he couldn’t even count them on one finger. Plus some of those people didn’t count. Especially that Yuiry guy.
“I’m not interested in fighting you’re not worth my time fighting!” He huffs the words before turning his head to the door. Oh no it sounded like Rima was waking up now. He could hear foot steps on the other side of the door.
The deer’s plan worked as the tiger was soon against a wall, face a bright crimson and and heart beating so fast he felt it might run away without him. “I-I… Wh- I don’t… Know how to h-handle this…”
“Caught you.” He humms the words while lowering his head to Driger.
“You know... You’re kind of cute when you’re all flustered like that.” His face is just an inch from Driger’s now.
Chromen what do you think about Rima as your blader? Do you have any complaints? Do you feel forced into the bond you share with her? Why don't you always come out in battle when she asks you to?
“I have watched this kid from the day she was born. I have aided her with every fever caused by her own empath ability, and I have watched her achieve every achievement or milestone a small human is meant to achieve. From her first steps to her first words. I am proud to be walking along side her. She reminds me of Reed when he was that age, and I can’t be any happier to be doing this again. I love Rima in the way that a guardian should love the person they’ve been asked to protect. And I will keep protecting her until the day she takes her last breath or until she passes me on to the next blader. So No i do not have complaints about her. And no I do not feel forced into the bond I have with her. She might not understand it but I have been watching after her long before she found the beyblade I was sitting in.”
“I spent long days trying to protect Rima from handling more bit beasts than her body can take. I act as a filter for her, and that takes a lot of energy to do. I have a preference to only come out when she absolutely needs me there with her. Other wise I can’t protect her from her abilities that can make her sick when she takes on to many bit beasts at once. and when I say take on I don’t mean fighting. I mean feeling them near her, and feeling their emotions. Her body isn’t invincible it has her limit’s, and I make sure that those limit’s don’t get pushed to far. That is why Reed asked me to look after her, because I’m the only bit beast that can do it for her. Or at least the only one I know of that’s willing to go that far to help her.”
❝ My, my, quite the aggressive type, aren’t we? There’s no harm in scoping out the competition… But if you’re really her bit-beast, then I think I’m going to have fun breaking you or at least teaching you some manners. ❞
“How funny is that!” Chromen starts laughing and clutches his gut.
“You think you can break me. I’m a bit beast a human like you can’t do that. Oh god it hurts to laugh.” In the blink of an eye he turns serious.
“Everything is wrong with it. Rima is a very delicate child and it is my job to protect her while she is resting. If i didn’t then she would have no break from bit beasts that get close to her.” Oh no his gaze was lethal now.
