My sister was watching Gilmore girls and everyone told Lorelei that Luke had a certain day that was called a black day and disappeared.

And my marauders brain immediately went 'Reg would definitely have a black day' like idk what but he surely did. He didn't even see Sirius, Barty or Pandora at all.

After he started dating James, Sirius just casually mentioned to James that the next day is reg's black day and James just expected him to disappear and that they won't meet

But the next day Regulus sents a message to James saying he's at the quidditch pitch or at an abandoned classroom or anywhere crowdless and that James can go if he wants to.

Amd James is just so happy and thrilled and elated because he didn't think he would even receive a letter from reg that day, nevermind seeing him, and he just feels so special and loved

And when he meets Regulus he sits beside him and says nothing not wanting to disturb reg.

And reg's like "Hey Jamie. I've missed you" and he kisses him and James just wants to cry from how overwhelmed he is (but he doesn't, obviously, because regulus black is kissing him. Why the hell would he ever cry again in his life?).

And Regulus is feeling safe that day for the first time in a very long time because he is with James and that's all that matters. James is holding him and everything is alright
