yeah, it was a lot to ditch but i was too curious to wait any longer making my peace with all i left behind vanishing into the darkness with only my body and my mind ready to forget how to live in society and become an animal again

at first it was lonely i was used to having everyone at the touch of a finger but i grew accustomed to waking up with the sun and learned that i was never alone as roots took hold beneath my feet and flowers bloomed in the brambles so i was home and i was one with all that surrounded me

i swam in the river and i bathed in the sun i drank from the stream of life i ate my fill of berries and roots and my skin became like bark

it was the happiest week of my life but i learned that mother nature is never forgiving so i lay on the cool ground with my lovers the ferns and the centipedes as my mother decided she wanted me back rasping my last breath with a smile upon my face i was free i am home i am one

next time you see me i will be a rain drop
