“my sister is the real singer, though. she’s incredible.” the blonde blushed at the compliment, smiling back at the other boy. “oh yeah! i remember you telling me that you write. what’re you writing about? - if you don’t mind me asking.”

“I bet you both are fantastic. Troye’s the king of awesome singing in the Mellet family, but I sound like I’m trying to summon demons,” Lucas answered, throwing in a joke at the end. “Currently working on something new. I’m working on a series featuring different supernatural species and the efforts to bring peace between themselves as well as humans.”

“fuck what I said it don’t mean shit now. fuck the presents might as well throw em out,” alicia sang loudly into her brush, spinning around her room, happy to finally be back in the house again. “fuck all those kisses, they didn’t mean jack. fuck you, you hoe, I don’t want you back!” turning around once more, she almost bumped into the person in her doorway and immediately she dropped her brush onto the floor. “ooh! i’m so sorry - i can keep it down.”

Lucas had been heading off to his normal writing spot with his laptop in tow when he heard someone singing. Carefully leaning against the wall, he listened and gave a small, kindhearted smile. “It’s alright, I was just heading off to go work on some stories. Great job though, awesome voice,” he complimented.

bella raised an eyebrow as she listened to the boy. “yeah - you really sound like one,” she said honestly as she let out a soft laugh. “it’s okay - i’ve seen so much awkward people, but i won’t judge you,” she smirked. “you’re cute.”

“Thank you for the compliment and the same goes for you, my good lady. Here’s to hoping that I won’t be too awkward or too sappy as we continue building our friendship. Also, I want to thank you for being such a fantastic person right off the bat, don’t see that too often outside of family and close friends,” Lucas softly stated.

bella smiled friendly at the male and moved her hand onto his back, making small circles as she pressed her lips against his cheek. as she saw his cheeks turning into a slight pinkish color, a small smirk came upon the latina’s face. “i’m really sure about that,” she nodded, giving him a wink.

“To the start of an absolutely amazing friendship, hopefully one that lasts for many years, through great times and not so great ones,” Lucas rattled off a mock toast with a bright smile. “I probably sounded like a major sap just now, but I don’t really care. Fair warning, I tend to be a tad bit awkward, so I’m going to apologize in advance for any problems that may cause.”

“It’s all good, I’m always interested in what stories people have to tell and what they have to say. The ideas I’m working on right now involve a group of friends and their multiple misadventures as they grow up,” Lucas informed with a soft smile.

bella looked up at the male, flashing him a small smile. “well - thank you, again,” she said, now getting a little nervous because she wasn’t really used to have a male figure being so protective over her, and she had to admit that she liked it. a lot. bella moved closer to the boy, gently tiptoeing to reach his cheek, pressing her lips against his cheek.

“Anytime,” Lucas simply replied in a kindhearted tone, carefully reaching to put an arm around Bella. Upon feeling her lips on his cheek, the budding author’s cheeks went from a light shade of pink to the brightest red. “I believe this is the start of a fantastic friendship, in case I haven’t said that already.”
