This is very true. Can I ask, do you have any favorite places?

There are far too many for me to tell you all of them. But one of my favourite places was this little cafe which looked over a river and it was a beautiful place. I used to go there at least once a week. And, of course, my childhood home was one of my favourite places.

You’re right. Maybe I should just accept the fact that I am obviously a huge One Direction fan. Or at least the part of my brain that overplays their songs is, anyway.

I fail to see that. Why would you put your studies first one hundred per cent of the time anyway? I get it, you want to be the best and all that, but you’re going to burn yourself out. You’re only young once, dude. Have some fun. I could totally help you with it.

Because I can have fun once I’ve passed all my exams. I’m sure I’ll survive a few more years.

I think that’s a very smart decision on your part. Breaking the law for anything is typically not a good thing. Right? Imagine the other kind of accidents that must’ve occurred as well.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were children bumping into things and getting into accident if they’re busy watching their phones instead of the road. Not to sound like a grumpy old woman complaining about youths these days.

This is true. The cycle is endless when it comes to musical criticism in that sense.

It sounds wonderful. My family and I spent a short time there for vacation and I’d love to go back. If you do, please fill us in if anything changes over there. If I can’t get to Paris again right away, maybe I could live vicariously through someone else.

Exactly. Not everyone can be pleased with whatever music is “current”.

It’s a great place to visit but an even better place to live. If I end up moving back there, I will tell you everything you need to know.

I’ll make sure I have a serious talk with my immune system at it’s earliest convince. I hate being lazy, I hate not doing stuff so the only thing I could do was my paper, and it worked.

At least you’ll always have work to do now you’ve missed half your classes. I suppose you probably won’t get sick again anytime soon unless your immune system likes to ignore you.

I’ve known you a while, Lucas. If you irritated me that much, I wouldn’t have stuck around this long.

The fact that we study the same major is a little inconvenient if you were trying to get rid of me.

What a coincidence, I am too. You know I’m only joking. You gotta learn to loosen up a little and have some fun.

I do have fun. There is nothing wrong with putting my studies before my social life.

Fun? I don’t know. I like to go out at weekends, if that counts.

And my god those tribute bands who perform at amusement parks are just awful. The originality in music these days is just lost and it saddens me.

Paris sounds wonderful. I’d like to hope our parents would let us live anywhere but the US if Trump has his way too.

I suppose eventually new people with new sounds will come around again, then everyone will be talking of now as the “good old times when music was decent”. They probably said that about the 60s in the 80s.

Paris is my home. It’s a beautiful place. I’m hoping to move back when I have finished my studies and can afford to live there on my own.
