I asked my mom what else she wanted to accomplish in her final weeks?

"I'm going to finish this painting!" she said.

Then she asked me to help her put on the apron. She took out paint and brushes and started to paint. From her focused eyes, I saw the brilliance of life, even if it was just the afterglow.

After painting, she breathed a sigh of relief. It feels like the responsibility has been fulfilled and the wish fulfilled.

It is rare for my mother to have a strong performance. This time she worked hard to face the disease. When she showed this kind of courage, the whole person's appearance became different.
