REFLECTION - THE BLOGGING AUDITING PROCESS

I totally agree with Lisa's and Alex's posts about blogging. Actually I felt exactly Lisa, I have to open up my mind. While I was reading posts in peers blogs I had lots of ideas, but I have to repeat Lisa's I am a perfectionist person too and if I can't do or dedicate myself to a project it's better not doing it. I also have another barrier, I am alone in this innovate process, because at my workplace people are connected with the past: tests, board games, papers and it's hard trying something new because I have to follow the rules. I hope after I really start using not only the blog, but some or all the tools that I learned during this course people can join me in this amazing digital world.

About Blogging

First of all is amazing how technology can involve us. As I told I am a newbie, but discovering how to use web tools is helping me a lot.  I have to innovate my classes, and blogging is one way to do that. Maybe it can keep my students focus on learning, sharing ideas, dividing experiences. For a while I am giving me a chance to learn more about everything, but in the future I hope to have most of my students connected with me.

RSS reflections - Week 4

RSS is a useful and meaningful resource to use. It facilitates our life. I used to add my favorites or most useful sites in "favorites", but or I forgot them or they simply disappear. Now, I am able to have them in the same place and more interesting than this is that it isn't necessary to spend long hours trying to find new resources. When I really found a good site I subscribe it and them I just have to take a look in what is new. This is a great facilitator.

Social Bookmarking

How can online social bookmarking help you?

I never used a social bookmarking until this course started. As I said before I am a new learning. I really didn't know how it's work, but now, I believe that a social bookmarking is going to be part of my job. Social bookmarking is a tool that facilitates our lives in sense of discovering, sharing, taking notes, adding and organizing stuff and for me the most important thing is that really improve the knowledges.

What are the advantages of having bookmarking as a social activity?

I believe that when we use it we are connecting with the world and the people ideas. Sharing stuff, reading, giving opinions, learning with others opinions, this is truly important and it is easy when we are using a social bookmarking.

How could Diigo be used in your classroom?

As I said before, I basically teach kids and teens, but they are always showing me something interesting in the digital world. I am trying to use Diigo to collect these interesting material and share them with the others groups.

What were you main difficulties to get started with social bookmarking?

Diigo is easy to use and also intuitive. I didn't have no problems to get started it.
