ideal day: wake up late. iced latte. my video game. crazy reheated lunch. my show. supermarket trip to waste money. a snack. creative endeavours deep into the night. same thing next day.

so they introduced the concept of daniel making a documentary with lestat, only for them to use it as a storytelling vehicle in one episode (really effectively!!) and then completely abandon it.
they presented so many different narrative framing devices this season—the failures tapes, the documentary, the concert stops, the songs, the “muses” as baby jenks said in ep 1, the long table/examining of the failures—and none of them were exercised consistently enough to be effective. they introduce those concepts then abandon them in the very next episode. s1&2 thrived on the structure of the interview, s3 sorely lacked that kind of structure.

You are entering a season where stars align and doors open with ease. Beautiful things are on the way.
*through gritted teeth* the world is GOOD. people are kind. Humans are NOT inherently selfish. you will make it through this year. recovery is possible. people you don't know yet will love you. You are going to do things you can't even imagine right now. You are going to read a rlly good book. You are going to eat some rlly good food. You are going to experience joy again. Things can get better. Situations can change. You can choose to be kinder. The world can change for the better.
everyone acts like your only choice is total excess or complete abstinence. what about moderation… what happened to my good old girl Moderation?
Idk what person with chronic illness needs to hear this, but you can do things to make your responsibilities nicer for yourself. You can get an ice cream after a blood draw. You can sit down for tv time after an injection. You can pick out the bandaids that have cartoon characters on them instead of the plain ones. Being an adult doesn’t stop you from benefiting from encouragement. Go for whatever fits with your routine/abilities/budget and makes life a little better. A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down etc etc
