Thank you for following my art through all those years I've been here... All the nice comments and support... Tumblr is where I feel the most secure. It's like a cozy cocoon. I started here and will remain for as long as I can!

how did you learn anatomy? I fear I've been stuck with the same anatomy for years and it never looks good to me so I've just started doing headshots instead. I really need to work on bodies but I don't really know how to improve
I learn through studying écorchés! Basically the human body without skin, so you see all the muscles. That way you learn how they interact with each other, and then you understand why the skin has some bumps and certain places, why it bends that way etc. You don't need to learn all the muscle names, but it helps a lot to learn the main ones.
I learned this way : have a reference of a person doing a pose, then draw them as an écorché, where you think the muscles would be. At the end, do a comparison with an écorché reference, and learn that way, by seeing what you got wrong or right, where you could improve. Rinse and repeat :)
Always use references when you're unsure and trying to learn. Even when you know the basics it's always good to compare. At work I have my trusty écorché man by my side when I have doubts 😊
Also on Sketchfab there are amazing 3d models you can view from different angles to learn from it's great. Just search 'anatomy' or else
Good luck !!

What is your favourite way to draw faces? Are you a Loomis head or ball and paper mask? Or some other way? I'm trying to improve but everything turns out weird so I want learn how other people do it!
I think Loomis is def a great way to start with! These days I think more in planes like the Asaro head though. (Is Asaro paper mask?) It's all preferences though probably :) good luck with your drawings!!
HII this is so random but I just found your account and omg I was obsessed with your miraculous mvs like the cendrillion one was so GOOD but yea I just wanted to let you know 🫶
Aw thank you! It's crazy to me that this was almost 10 years ago ToT and that people still watch it sometimes. It's wild and I'm getting old :'DDD Thanks so much though ♥
