Blog recommendation of the month

The “blog recommendation” is back. And we start with a very special one. I’m a big fan of Niilas’ work. On his blog you can find still-life photographs, landscapes and portraits. Most of his pictures are in black and white and have a timeless look and feeling to them. His still-lifes are classical and all have a special and personal note. I like the minimalism in his landscape photos which gives a remarkable feeling of solitude. His portraits are outstanding and unusual.

When I scroll through my dashboard, Niilas’ photos always make me stop and look at them for a while. They kind of suck me in. I think, what I love most, is that all his photos tell a story and that they have a unique mood. For me - personally - it’s a mixture of loneliness, timelessness and melancholy which is a great contrast to the hectic, colourful and fast moving modern world. I really enjoyed looking through his archives to choose the photos for this month and I found them really inspiring. This is a blog really worth seeing.
