Blog update

Hey y'all!

So it's been a minute since I last updated this blog, life has thrown its share of curve balls but I'm in a fairly content place right now.

For my own peace of mind and reasons I will not get into, I am going to be pulling out of Wannabebountyhunter as a collaborator and co-creator.

Lou as a character as well as many of the side characters and concepts I created for the project (including the ranch, the blooming canyon, Justine, Caspian, Juno, the stailers, elltacs, tarans, mollopeds etc) mean the world to me, and I would feel much happier separating them from WBH and having the creative freedom to explore said concepts (and more importantly Lou's story) on my own terms.

I have already been playing around with Lou in various aus and TTRPG settings, and my mollopeds were recently give a chance to shine in a 7th Sea campaign my friends and I have been working on. I probably won't be planning on updating this blog or my art blog for quite a while as I'm far more active on instagram nowadays, but I figured I'd just put this out there to avoid any confusion.

Blog Update

I think I need to take a break from posting on here for a while, there’s a lot of stuff going on in my personal life right now as I’ve just finished university, and just the general attitude tumblr has towards original content that I’ve witnessed over the last half a year has been making me feel a little discouraged about posting my work.

Especially since that includes a fully animated intro that I have spent the last 8 months pouring my heart into, I know this might be a little disappointing to those who have been anticipating the outcome of my final major project but I need to think of myself first.

Just a quick announcement that I’m migrating Juno over to Wannabe Bounty Hunter’s universe to explore more of her story (see Lou and Astor’s blog), as I feel this would allow me far more creative freedom and not be restricted by Oddworld’s rules and setting. The same also goes for the rest of the Takartha tribe, though I’m yet to figure out their region and how they will look. Otherwise here is Juno’s new design!

As part of a series of style tests I set myself for uni, I decided to draw Lou as if they were an olympian god in Hades! I’m still so stoked with how they turned out 😭✨

This is my Molloped species for Wannabe Bounty Hunter, what started off as a silly idea for a bowling episode resulted in the creation of this pill millipede-silk moth hybrid. These shy creatures tuck their wings away and roll up into a hardy ball whenever they feel threatened, which makes them the perfect size and shape for larger creatures to use for mowling matches. During reproduction, mollopeds weave large pouches made from raw silk to lay their eggs in which can be safely used for silk production after the babies leave. Depending on the area they originate from, mollopeds come in a variety of colours to adapt to their environments
