āI like how the artist paints those figures to look like vultures at first glance. Then when you look closer, theyāre actually skulls, with bodies covered in ragged cloaks. Both vultures and skulls signify death and despair. But then the sun has come out from behind that dark cloud - to signify hope and life perhaps? Or⦠maybe the sun is about to be covered by the cloud, signifying approaching death.ā By reddit user Havoola

Thank you for everything, Tat
This is so important. Donāt ever bother me with the head and the heart dichotomy ever again. Sherlock is emotional, outwardly affectionate, easily amused, loving, forgiving, regretful, and is forever trying to make amends for what he is well aware his emotions caused him to do. John Watson is a Russian nesting doll of pent up rage, guilt, and calculated outward projections that make him seem like the person he wants to be but knows logically he is not. Sherlock is done being called a machine. Heās done with the persona people have put on him. Heās especially done with John using that persona as an excuse to clam up because John knows him better than anyone and he knows heāsĀ āthe most human human beingā so no more, with the head and the heart.
āWe might all just be humanā⦠And for Sherlock itās not only about himself, about accepting his fears/weaknesses (Moriarty as its embodiment, and āwe didnāt think heād just disappear, did we?ā) (because, in that case, he has to be accepted and not defeated), about his understanding that he CAN and SHOULD embrace both his brain and heart, mind and sentiment, in order to live fully and happily. Itās about John too. Even you are human, John. Human who wants to be loved and accepted with all his scars, mental and physical. Human who āwanted moreā and āstill doā. And Sherlock understands it and heās ready to give it to John.
god, you made it better, and worse, and better, and iām crying, yes yes yes this, so much this šā¤ļø
