Okay! So we have to start with the super wealthy Holliday family. Luca’s family has worked as gardeners for the Hollidays for many years, and he grew up on the Holliday estate in the Hamptons, where he learned how to garden. He is currently still a gardener for Mina (the Holliday heiress) and the house she bought here in Northpoint.
I imagine that Meagan’s family also worked for the Hollidays in some way, though they didn’t live on the estate —— maybe as accountants, decorators, anything, honestly! —— but she was around a lot and she, Mina, and Luca became close friends. Luca isn’t wealthy at all, and I imagine that Meagan would tire of Mina’s constant need to be the center of attention/elitism so Luc and Meagan would always go off and just go hang out in bars and play pool, something Mina would never do.
I always sort of phrase it as Mina keeps Luca’s head in the clouds, but Meagan keeps his feet on the ground.
(As an aside, Luc never bothered going to college knowing that there was always a job waiting for him with the Hollidays, but I thought that maybe Meagan had, and now has a job/is prepared for a job completely separate than anything to do with the Hollidays)
Now, it’s up to you as to what brought Meagan to Northpoint. Maybe Mina invited her to keep Luca company, as Mina can’t stay in one place too long and is currently who-knows-where. Or maybe she just wanted to come check out the house that her friend bought. Or maybe she’s doing graduate work at Winthrop University!
Personality wise, I pictured her as super elegant and intelligent, but also feisty, fearless, and playful. She's just as home out-shooting and out-drinking someone at the pool table as she is one of Mina's fancy charity balls.

Okay, it's okay. It'll be okay, alright? If the only thing you're worried about is that you're not married ---- you two have been together longer than most married couples. I have no doubt that you two would be wonderful parents and would be a perfect team for raising a child, okay? Regardless of when you get married - and you don't have to do that right away, either. You can have a long engagement, until things have calmed down. But Amelia... if you're hesitant about the pregnancy, that's okay, too.

If I didn't think she saw me, I wouldn't love her. If she was just some spoiled, heiress bitch, I wouldn't like her, much less love her. But I do. I love her and I like her. She's incredible, Amelia, like a princess from a fairytale. She is so... graceful. And fun, and kind. She can be silly, and she can be careless and blunt, but she's never mean. That's what I like most about her. I am happy. I'm in love with my best friend - how could I be anything else?
