Happiness Will Come To You.
when tho
When You Least Expect It. Probably Late March
reblog for happiness to come for you in late march!
I reblogged this last year and I hung out with blink-182 backstage on March 30. Reblogging again because it worked the first time.
honestly, last year one of the best days of my life happened in late March
came back to this post to announce i got my dream job and was offered twice my current base salary a couple days ago. this will significantly improve my financial situation so i can confirm that happiness did, in fact, come to me in late march.
Artist: @no-bread Author: @coins-that-never-land Beta: @stilldoingallthethings Title: Was it a Date? Jake Seresin’s Guide to Playing it Casual
After a series of bad dates and unfortunate relationships, Jake’s sworn off dating. He has his dog and his best friend Javy, which are more than enough. At least, Jake thought he was happy until Javy introduced him to Bradley Bradshaw. But his recurrent outings with Bradley certainly weren’t dates…were they?
see the full art and read the fic on ao3!
Those experiences were priceless.
btw, got diagnosed with ADHD today and i’m feeling very vindicated rn lmfaoooooo
Heated Rivalry didn’t so much enter the zeitgeist as crash into it. Since its November release, no other series has generated more headlines, word-of-mouth, discourse, or fancams. It has been the subject of a prime-ministerial speech, marketing gold for the National Hockey League, a statement of inclusivity in the Olympic Torch Relay. For two rookies and a veteran, it also turned out to be a star-maker.
Okay, I've finally finished the hockey show, and I think it's kind of cute that Shane thinks they've taken the next step in their relationship and Ilya took All The Steps At Once and is now locked in for all time. Shane is still like "would you maybe come with me to see my parents?" and "are we saying boyfriend now, is that okay?" Meanwhile, Ilya Rozanov is over here like, I told you about my mother and you saw me cry during sex. Your family is my family. We're dying together. I'll pay for the tomb. There are no more questions.
Ilya Rozanov really went from "We get together, we fuck, it's simple" to "Yes, I will alter the course of my career and life for you" in like two days, zero-to-husband speedrun.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but the idea that you can make a little mistake while doing your taxes and then go to jail for it is mostly not a thing. If you make a mistake on your taxes you'll get a letter in the mail that says 'hey you made a mistake on your taxes' and then you can fix it (source: I have made mistakes on my taxes, international tax treaties are complicated). The only time people typically go to jail for tax stuff is if they commit massive intentional (or negligent, like if they run a business and never consult any expert on how payroll taxes work) fraud over a long period of time.
There's basically no way for a person new to doing taxes - and presumably not handling a lot of money - to accidentally fuck up those taxes in a way that's going to end with that person in jail.
thank you for your super-relatable input, anne rice's son
"Oh, it'd be so cute and funny for Shane to have figured out what Ilya said in Russian on the phone call! I'd have been on Translate immediately trying to find out!"
BITCH WHAT.
Are people incapable of perceiving what Shane was doing in that phone call? The gesture he was making? "I am a safe space for you. I am giving you the freedom and security to freely express yourself without fear of how I'll react, because I won't understand." It wasn't a way for him to slyly Figure Something Out.
He knew Ilya could not say the things he wanted to say, so he gave him a way to do so in private. This worked because they've come to TRUST each other. For him to turn around and violate that trust would be awful, which is why HE DOESN'T DO THAT. Do people only do things for their partners to gain an upper hand? To take information from them without their consent? We talk about media literacy, is it this bad that people can't wrap their brains around Shane's gesture?
There is this weird subsection of fandom that's low-key obsessed with the Russian monologue being part of some sneaky/clever plotline whereing Shane understands part of it then or later and I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT. It's like when people kept expecting a twist or a manufactured miscommunication or something. This isn't that kind of story.
Did you know that "Reacher" star Alan Ritchson, aka the massive, jacked, sweetie pie, pretty woke actor...IS ALSO AN AMAZING SINGER? Like, he was on American Idol.
how is this guy not the #1 tumblr sexyman
is he not pale and british enough
so how am I ever supposed to quit this stupid website when there's just casual shakespeare jokes on the reg
I like you. I like you, too.
This is the most content Shane looks in the entire show.
Imagine. He's waking up in the arms of the man he loves. He has nowhere to be, nothing to do, and they are safe and alone. He can stay here as long as he likes. He and Ilya can do whatever they like.
He's probably fantasized about this exact thing a thousand times and now it's happening, and he's probably wondering if he's still dreaming.
So there's a ship I'm seeing fairly regularly on my dash that, like REALLY squicks me. It's a NOTP for sure. It makes me really uncomfortable. I'd prefer not to see content about it.
So I blocked the tag.
I did not a) send anyone anon hate, b) post in the tag about how much I dislike it, c) judge the people who DO like it, d) write diatribes about how the ship is toxic and problematic and immoral and the people who enjoy it are problematic and should be cancelled, e) even say what ship I'm talking about or what fandom it's in.
Notice that the onus is on ME to avoid something I'd rather not see. It is not for the people posting about it to change their habits or stop enjoying their thing (so far everyone's being good about tagging but I'm sure some will slip through, that's just life in the big city). My dislike of this ship is a ME thing, and my dislike does not translate to it being inherently bad, or that those who like it are bad, either. Not liking it is not a moral crusade on my part, it's just a personal preference and should be treated as such, and my responsibility to avoid it.
It's not like this shit is hard, y'all.
