Universals yesterday was just truly amazing. Being in Choir for so long now really has made me realize how much of a changed person i am today. Because of music, i learned to move on from my past and focused on being the person i am now. My personality has changed, my optimism was always there, and i always felt sincerely genuine towards people. Because of Mr. Keltner, i learned to accept who i was and embraced all the imperfections I’ve had. Because of him, I felt like home and that i knew i could start my life over as long as i didn’t make the same mistakes. Because of music, I’ve met some of the most amazing people in my entire life. I’ve learned to take risks, I’ve learned to love each and every one of my kids dearly, and I’ve learned to keep striving for what i wanted every day. My senior year was way more than I could have asked for. God really had a plan for me and he’s taken me on such an amazing journey. As senior year comes to an end, i have no doubt that life is going to get even better the next couple months. As i take on the next step into adulthood, i encourage underclassmen to join as many things as possible. So what if you messed up during your years. Now is the time to change that. Be yourself and be the best you can be. Smile often, laugh often, fall in love here and there, and realize how blessed you are to be around those who love you for who you are. You are never alone so put yourself out there. I never thought to this day i would have so many great friends that i knew i could count on. People that never gave up on me and really believed i could do anything. My purpose in life was to be a leader and inspire others to spread music. I truly believed that i did that these past few years in high school. I seriously would never trade my life for any other. I truly believe that I am honestly the luckiest girl in the world. I am gratefully honored to be this year’s 2011-2012 Choir President. I love you guys. <3
