I haven’t been feeling great recently, probably from missing a month of therapy due to holidays and clashes with other doctor stuff.

oh and also the unending cascade of bad news and general awfulness but at least a nazi got punched

I spent today feeling sick, mostly physically, but with some mental stuff too. My advice for the day is: if someone tells you they are chronically ill, please do not respond with “oh but X person has it so much worse!” 

It is not helpful.

I wanted to do some limited palette stuff today. The palette was inspired by a piece of promo art for The Last of Us.

Jigglypuff family with prismacolor pencils!

I’m not a massive fan of coloured pencils, to be honest. I find it hard to get the vibrant colours I want without hurting my hand. But I thought I should at least give them a try once or twice! 

They’ll probably be more for shading than for full pieces, the way I’m going.

I have a chipped tooth and I keep catching the inside of my mouth with the chipped tooth

I had a very stiff wrist yesterday so these are...rushed

It is very cold as I write this. I had to crop this one weirdly because my scanner didn’t want to agree with it and it turned out gross at the edges.

Still, this is probably my fave one so far! I really like the sandshrew family, they’re so cute.

A digital placeholder for today! I wanted to go all out on the Pikachu family but uh. Let’s say i need more practice with acrylics. So this’ll probably be redrawn at some point!

Tumblr didn’t like this piece. I tried to use rosemailing to make the bodies, but i definitely need more practice! 

Rosemailing is very pretty. Acrylic paints on burgundy cardstock
