On why.. there’s still NaLu fans who were more upset at the fact that the other girls were there than with Wendy being there in the first place, bc that was a problem, and still is, she is a minor, y’all! But It makes perfect sense from the beginning that those other woman are there. And bc of how Natsus character views all his friends(woman) in his life just as important.
But this is the issue, bc there’s so many of us in the NaLu fandom that get way ahead of ourselves with theories and HCs, that we expect way too much, and still have it in our minds that Natsu knows about romance, when really, he’s sooo inexperience and naive about it!
What some can’t differentiate is that though he might see romantic love between others, and though he might see a couple showing their affection by kissing, he himself still can’t fully learn to understand those things, he knows it’s what couples/husband and wives do, but his heart still can’t grasp the difference between the love he feels for everyone in his guild and the love he feels for Lucy. This is of course due to him never having been in love before, and also never having been interested in anything of that sort. It’s not wrong to think this way and have fun with our imagination, but in order for us to not feel so disappointed we really need to calm down a bit and remember not everything will be that way for our HCs.
Because, It’s been shown so many times too, there’s absolutely no romantic implications between Natsu and these other female friends, perhaps at the beginning with Lisanna and Erza but that died off ages ago, and if anything they push him to do things for Lucy, and they show Lucy way more love than they do him!
Cana, Mira, Erza are like his older sisters, Lisanna was his childhood friend, and (sigh) Wendy his little sister, they’re all important too him. And if we see what Erza had said, it’s something they mostly used to do as kids, bathe together.. of course they bathed as adults too but only bc Erza would make him wash her back (also cause i think it’s how she would get him to bathe lmao!)
Lucy on the other hand said something totally different than the other girls.. “Here you go, you can touch me as much as you like.” that doesn’t seem friendly or sisterly at all! Very easily implying she’s seen different from the other woman in his life. And when the snow whore said “Men cannot refuse the ones they love” Man said ‘is that right?’ and socked his gf, proving that hoe wrong.
Kinda wish i would’ve made that post on ppl getting ahead of themselves with HCs and theories of this perfect bf Natsu who acts dumb but actually knows more than he leads on.. Bc thats not true 😭 though he might know some things it’s easy to understand he isn’t the type to even care about it like some think.
But, i supposed this was needed though for everyone to eventually understand that this is how Natsus character truly is, ..and tbh i do think i would’ve only been holding my breath in hopes everyone would get it if i tried saying it myself. So ig it all worked out ❤️
