I'm not even ten minutes into the new season of the six nations show on netflix and why the fuck is it all about the fly half from the England team becoming the face of world rugby.

Mine too. The Marcus hype makes my teeth hurt. 40-odd caps and apart from odd flashes of individual brilliance, he's done sod-all.

And it showed! Marcus may pull off the individual moments of brilliance, but I remain to be convinced that he can actually manage a game decently. He can't seem to get the ball to his threequarters with any consistency. And if England had a game plan beyond the back row running hard at the Irish, I must have blinked and missed it!

Helloooooo! Yet again, I am assuring everyone that I haven't run away to sea and that bloody hell, I miss Tumblr! I have a couple of weeks of holiday, so I shall do my best to catch up on people's posts.
Usual health and work shit going on. Bored with it all.
But progress this weekend - I finished a story. It is, I hope, closer to RenegadeSparrow's prompt from before Christmas rather than the one I wrote that veered off in a totally unexpected direction.
This one is Owen/George, with a teammates supporting cast, including the One Braincell Gang and a minor royal!
In other news, I am mainlining as much rugby as I can stay awake for, and am trying not to snigger too loudly at Georgie having a brilliant Six Nations (Scotland shambles excepted) and drowning out some of the Marcus Smith hype. If there's to be a Smith on the bench, I'd make it Fin. I really like the look of him as a player.

I'm not much of a fan of The Good, the Bad and the Rugby, as posh boys like Alex Payne and Hask make my teeth hurt. But Jonny May is absolute gold. His first appearance a month or so back, where he talked about his autism as well as the infamous North Korean story, and made such an impression that the podcast was inundated with requests for him to be invited back.
So they've now signed him up for more appearances. On the latest one he talks more about neurodivergence. And his piles. And the unpleasant ailments people contracted in Gloucester's manky old changing room. And how he pissed in his father-in-law's pond when he got drunk on his wedding day (apparently he doesn't usually drink) and killed all the fish.

I'm still seriously bored with the Marcus Smith hype. The lad has more than 20 caps and really hasn't done much apart from show occasional flashes of brilliance.
"Not my circus, not my monkeys" is a good mantra to live by.

Hellooooooo! I'm still here and vertical, which absolutely counts as a win. Blame health and work shit yet again for my sudden disappearance. And my car breaking down on one of the busiest roundabouts in Gloucester with the ensuring £1350 repair bill didn't help either.
Social media made my head hurt, so I took a kind of break from it, with the exception of Instagram. I'm now inching back in.
The last few weeks I've been writing again. This fic, written for RenegadeSparrow, went off in a weird direction but I absolutely wanted to finish it! Another story much near to RS' prompts will be along in the new year.

Um, helloooooooo! I haven't run away to sea, but that's only because I'd start throwing up on the Isle of Wight hovercraft!
In a nutshell, I've gone into hiding because of constant health and other shit making my head hurt. The lack of availability of ADHD meds is about the final sodding straw. If I tell you that I missed virtually all of the England quarter-final yesterday, that might give you a clue to how shite I feel!

Only constructive thing I've done in aeons is finish the above fic, the latest in the 'WTF came over you' pairing of Danny/George! The lovely Fredbassett adores them, and that's all that matters!

The pic made me smile and fuck knows, I need any laugh this week. The low spot so far has been removing a dead rat from my house yesterday morning.
And the Torygraph are claiming that England will pick Marcus Smith at 10 against Wales on Saturday. I suppose it's not surprising, given he's fallen down the pecking order. But just, well, meh ... He wasn't well-handled by Eddie Jones, but he's also got 20-something caps and really hasn't done anything special. Faz and Georgie should definitely be ahead of him in the queue.
A pre-season story from one of the Suffolk papers about Bury St Edmunds' new signings. One of them is Harry Steward, signed from North Walsham. And Bury DoR is Jacob Ford, George's little brother!
