Hey guys, I'm planning to make Male Espers with Female Deities and for that I have a VERY specific rule that I think I should share here:
THE GODDESS MUST NOT HAVE A INHERITED FEMALE DOMAIN
– What I mean by this is that the goddess's domain cannot be explicitly for women (just as, if the Esper is female and the god is male, the god's domain cannot be explicitly masculine -> Altough this oposite part of the rule seems to be the one mostky people are blind to).
- For example, I can create a male Esper based on Eurydice (because her myth is more of tragedy and love than the fact that she's a woman being taken away from her love), but not one based on the Deer Woman (the literal deity that's said to protect native woman from being taken by the invaders during the colonization of North America, and also man from theyr own tribe againt theyr will but the myth spreed more bacuse of the colonization I believe).
- The same goes for deities like Artemis, Iara, Estsanatlehi, Bixia Yuanjun or Obá/Obba who's identities lie alongside theyr gender.
- However, deities like Jaci or Hestia are easier to make male espers for because of theyr domains and in some traditions are even depicted as such (Jaci for exemple with the myth of "Vitória-régia")
- I know this might be hard and maybe that's why there are mole Female Espers with Male Deities but I wanted to give myself a try and see the oposite sometimes?
- If anyone has any other idea of goddess for male espers, give me a headsup to see!
