I'm especially happy with how the more important characters are starting to look like how I see them in my mind!! This is a feeling AI-generated images will never replicate.

Volvaar

ESTP - the dynamo (suggested work: police, firefighter, pilot, athletic trainer) Volvaar is an ember. Pressure from the establishment, concerned with rules, tradition and expectations, but at the same time not genuinely ambitious. Boasting, show off, enjoys physical tests of skill and some thrill, but is not necessarily brave. He's used to a feeling of being “immovable” and therefore squeamish at own blood and injuries. Highly loyal to a very select few OR to superiors. He actively seeks to be liked and to befriend people he meets. He truly enjoys company and wants to always be around others and do everything together. Social butterfly, smooth talker, prodigy. (I absolutely can't relate here) Precision, good physical control, endurance and strength, power, guts. He has true talent in seemingly everything aside from his abilities as an ember or anything that includes reading/writing. It has been joked about, that Volvaar can't actually read. Ty discovers by swapping and altering notes passed from others to Volvaar that he understands them if the letters are VERY BIG. It's not that he's stupid, he's essentially blind. This is only revealed late in the story and the only other person that knows is his older brother. Therefore he avoids reading, theory, studying, classes. He mostly gets away with that. Likes: ham, sausages, I guess food in general but what stronk boi don't love the meats, dancing, fencing, silk, cotton, snow, posh things. Dislikes: porridge, meetings/classes, paper work, mud, blood, insects, farm animals or trying new things. Fighting style: Has many years of practice and is a perfectionist. Therefore, his style is extremely precise and makes him an intimidating foe. He is not super fast due to sheer size and that’s the only reason Wynne has been able to thwart him a few times. Guild captain takes care of the fighting. Also 20-23 somewhere, 210 cm, 120 kgs, medium fair skin, redhead A layer of chonk, but among us regular folks I suppose he looks pretty damn good because muscle. Possibly a bit plain to someone with a preference for the unique. His whole character is based around the idea of beautiful on the inside doesn't mean good person or happy person. It sounds like I hate Volvaar, but he's intended for a BIG character development.

Volvaar let’s duty come ahead of his needs.

Ty

INTJ - the mastermind. (Suggested work: surgeon, scientist, architect, engineer, veterinarian) Regular human here. Deep thinker, possibilities, sees a better future, patterns, seeker of truth. Very reserved, but nonjudgmental, in fact he seems very indifferent to other people. When people try to connect he resists strongly. Defensive, seems cold, socially a bit awkward, business over pleasure any time. He’s actually a sensitive and caring person, but he represses this as best he can - then expresses worry etc in a way that seems scolding and self-centered (ex. “I couldn’t sleep”, “Look what you did”) He is almost obsessive over his theories and plans, intelligent, experimental, skills in drawing, fine mechanics, understanding complicated science. Quick thinking, agility, balance, perception. Likes: all animals, kids, biscuits, fish, plants, smell of leather, coffee. Dislikes: parties, getting up early, the cold, beer. Fighting style: He knows the basic of sword fight from his childhood, but he avoids this approach, he isn’t the courageous kind. Instead of fighting he prefers tricks, devices and stealth. He doesn’t hesitate to fight dirty. 22ish, 185 cm, 70 kgs, a slight tan with pretty awkward tan lines, trendy farmer tan am I right. Ash brown hair. Like boring brown. His nose is described as hooked - some people find this an ugly trait, I am indifferent. He's obviously quite pretty in the drawings although I was aiming for normal. Fuck.

Wynne

ISTP - the craftsman. (Suggested work: police, farmer, mechanic, pilot) Half human half ember, also called freak, bad luck and more. Or do we just scrap it? She’s a troubleshooter, talent for practical solutions, responds quickly to emergencies, knack for manual operations, working with her hands. Spontaneous, her freedom is important to her, can feel trapped quickly and emotions are to be crushed, not felt 😂 Unless its anger, that one simmers nicely on the surface. Enjoys a thrill, drawn to risky activities like riding, weaponry and eventually crime (for the greater good though, right?) Hands on, getting hands dirty, legwork. Strength, agility, courage. Protective, got a temper, fiery, bit reckless. Distrusting, believes in having to do it yourself to get it “right” - doubts others, not a plus in team work, pretends a big deal is a small deal. Likes: all fruit, wool, smell of hay, porridge, hot drinks, yellow, almost any physical activity (can't relate here), exploring, adventure. Dislikes: snow, dogs, wine, dresses. Fighting style: She learns quickly, but lacks experience. She is strong and bold, with high endurance and pain tolerance. This makes her quite tanky and probably the first to rush recklessly in (sounds heroic, probably stupid in a lot of cases). Adrenaline is her friend. She has quite a bit of power, but is crude in execution. They say she fights like a brawler. 20-22ish at the beginning, 175 cm, 80 kgs, medium fair skin, but doesn’t tan. Black hair.

She is the “Wynne rushes in” type.

Another dnd commission, for my friend Ola 😁 and f Instagram format! It’s such a hassle 😂 anyway, made this over a year ago, but better late than never, right? I sat down with photoshop for fun (I’ve never been able to draw in that program although I’ve used it for 15+ years for other things) and who better to practice with than everyone’s favorite Rhysand?😂 However, the first attempt didn’t turn out how I wanted (second image) so I scrapped it and went back months later. My favorite piece from my huge backlog! 🥰 this was a commission I did for @ladypepperofdavenshire ages ago now of her characters. I just really enjoyed the atmosphere, got a big challenge doing something that resembles the inside of a space-ship(I hope?!) and the lighting is also a bit unusual for me. Overall just really fun! I’ve been a bit far down the drain since we moved, it’s further from my friends and when we eventually had to give up my horse, I lost a lot of my social circle there too.. So art faded far into the background. It’s almost shocking to me how this commission is over 4 years old, life is escaping me! 😱 Two original characters, undead friends exploring a new land. There are certain things from this old me that I miss, I’m not quite able to replicate some of the bold painting choices on the iPad.
