Do you think Materialism just works on tangible things?
Let me give an example. Why do you want to be a doctor?
Do you want to be a doctor to get that white coat?
To wear a scrub?
To have that name plate?
To be able to get the “Dr.” before your name?
Or that sticker on your car that says MD on board?
Isn’t this a form of Materialism because you basically want people to be impressed of what you have? Why do we think like this? Are we really passionate of what we want to have or what we want to do? Why do we want to achieve these things? Is this really what we want? Is this really our passion?
If you feel like you’re not meant to be where you are right now and you feel like you’re supposed to be somewhere else because of some petty reasons. Then fuck you. Exercise your brain cells. It would be a shame if you don’t.
