“I eat ‘Cons for breakfast, little man.” She folded her arms across her chest. “I take it you’re the Gould human?”
Dylan took a step back, looking around for the nearest way out that was within sprinting distance. Not that he had any confidence in being able to outrun a Cybertronian - but it didn’t hurt to try.
“Who’s asking?” he asked, looking back up at the femme, taking another step back, shoulders tense.

“You need to leave, right now! Or I’m calling the Decepticons! I mean it! I’ll do it!”
((added ‘semi-active’ to my info page - work just keeps me so tired that this is usually the first thing I end up not doing when i’m super tired :(

“I’m sorry, this is a Decepticons-only garage. Whatever you’re doing in here, you’re going to have to leave before I let one of them know that you’re here.”
...
Soundwave shrugged.
“Function over form. Many of Cybertronian’s Senators preferred useless, but aesthetically pleasing alternate modes. Their most popular choices included a decorative chair and a beverage cart.”
Dylan slowly raised an eyebrow, staring at Soundwave. “A beverage cart? Where did the ‘beverages’ come from? Him? Sounds kind of disgusting, honestly. Just out of curiosity, what alternative mode is your favorite?”
“Aesthetic.” Soundwave cross-referenced the word with the human’s databases. “Nostalgia.”
Certain he knew what the human was talking about, Soundwave nodded. At times, he could almost pretend the never-ending lights of certain cities were Cybertron, if one disregarded the organics and their permeating smells.
“You are too young to have been alive when some of these vehicles were in style.”
Dylan rolled his eyes, smiling. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t admire their beauty, their sleek form and vintage look...just because something is old doesn’t make it any less beautiful. Every car in this garage is a work of art.”
Occasionally, Soundwave could not help but admire the effort Dylan put into whatever he was doing, whether it was his ‘official’ business or his beloved cars.
Soundwave tilted his head, immediately curious as to why the human had stopped.
“I thought humans ceased their fascination with shining objects before the end of their first decade.”
Dylan looked up, uncrossing his legs and moving to stand.
“Soundwave, I realize that these things to you are just rudimentary light and shapes, but to me they maintain a certain aesthetic that makes me...nostalgic. Besides, they’re nice looking and they cost a good chunk of change and I have every right to admire them.”
The man smiled, smug as he sighed and looked around the massive garage at the rows of antique cars.
