Some crystal monster concept art for an indie game I’m working on called Dissonance Point
I’ve recently caught a case of Star Wars fever, so as a remedy, I designed, engineered, and 3d printed my own lightsaber. This design was “influenced” by Jedi Orgus Din’s lighsaber in the Knights of the Old Republic universe. I kinda wanted to make an unusual hilt, so I chose this one because of the shield, intricate patterns, and use of wood for the grip. It’s a bit ostentatious for a Jedi, but I think it looks really cool.
I’m still not quite done yet; I need to add the pattern on the shield and, of course, paint it, but the basic prototype is done. When I’m finished I’ll post some better pics along with the .stl files if anyone else wants to print it out.
Also, if you any feedback or suggestions on the design, let me know.
The theme for my little nephew’s room is foxes, so I drew him as a little fox for his birthday. The “R” stands for River.
Hammer, my golden Warforged.
Just for fun, I decided to take a figure drawing course at the local rec center. It's been a blast! I've probably learned more about drawing in my first session than I have in the last 10 years. I'm basically unlearning everything I've ever been taught about drawing people. The first lesson, gesture drawing, is extremely hard to get used to. Thinking about how the human form flows rather than focusing on contour and details is blowing my mind.
The image in this post is some of my first 30 second gesture practice drawings that I'm using as sort of a "before" drawing. I'll keep posting my practice so that I can have a record of my progress and maybe my "after" drawings will show improvement.
PS. I drew an old man's butt hole today.
A quick tablet sketch of the D&D group, using a floating Goblin head as a light source.
The logo for my D&D group. The first thing they did was chop off a Goblin's head and make it cast a light. They floated it around them as a light source, thus the name.
Another D&D quick tablet sketch depicting the players encountering a fire elemental. The figurine I was using wasn't conveying how much trouble the players were in, so I illustrated it.
For one of my D&D adventures, I recapped some key events from the last session with a storyboard/comic. The first image is one of the characters emerging from their new base: a giant statue head that they crash landed on top of a mountain. The second image reminded the team that some key characters had left the base.
Book of Mormon at the Dallas opera house!
Shit! I just failed the Voight-Kampff test.

Incredible
Probably my new favorite photo (ISS), look at those amazing colors.
Cloud Atlas concept art
I made this Christmas card for my new nephew, River. He already has everything, so I just gave my sister a gift card for diapers, thus the text.
Christmas card I made for my mom this year. She always reads/smokes/drinks out on her balcony in her ridiculous purple coat. I wanted to capture that.
