Another FFXIV commission done! I love this Au ra, she posed many interesting challenges. The horns and scales were a pretty puzzle to figure out but I am pleased with the outcome. FFXIV has such beautiful and complex gear, it makes it quite tricky to plushify but really rewarding too.Â
Etsy and Commissions
Final Fantasy XIV is one of my favorite games of all times so I was so please to work on this FFXIV OC plush. It’s like having a real life minion of your own character!Â
My commissions are open.Â
Last up is the infernal drake. I started by infusing my own vodka with some jalapeno. It’s super easy, all you need to do is chop up one whole jalapeno including seeds and drop it in the jar. You want this vodka burning hot it is the fire drake after all. Fill the jar with vodka and let it sit for a three to five days shaking every morning. Then we get to the fun part, smoking the glass. I used apple wood chips and it smelled delicious.Â
I was really looking forward to making Ocean drake because I had been excited about using this Ocean organic vodka I had. I mean Ocean vodka, Ocean drake it was meant to be! The Ocean vodka has this really salty taste to it that proved difficult to match flavors to. But I finally hit on a good combo by adding Cool Blue Gatorade which already had some nice saline notes to it. Besides Gatorade is refreshing, rejuvenating even! So it’s in theme! Add the Curacao slowly at the end and it will sink to the bottom giving you that nice gradient effect.Â
I looked at your account for barely 10 seconds and some part of me instantly fell in love with you
Aww, thank you so much for the support!
Mountain Drake was by far the most tricky to keep in theme. I wanted an earthy taste and a nice brown coloring so I thought a coffee liqueuer would be a good start. But I also wanted a deeper bitter note to it so I tried my hand at making a beer cocktail. Mac and Jack’s was my beer of choice but I believe this would work with any amber beer. It turned out really tasty and I will be trying more beer cocktails in the future.Â
I decided to make some drake themed drinks for Worlds this year and figured I’d share them with you all. First up cloud drake! I wanted to give it a cloud like feel to match the drakes aesthetic and after much trial and error decided on using meringue. It worked great it held that cloud shape even while drinking. I also added an energy drink for that speed boost. Besides, Redbull gives you wings! So it’s totally in theme.Â
This OC commission was my fist foray into adding horns to a plush, and over all I am pleased with how they look. I also love the tail, though it took me a whole hour to turn the thing inside out! All those curves!Â
My commissions are open.
Last member of the commissioned D&D party! Making hoods can be tricky but after some trial and error I drafted a hood pattern I liked. It allowed for the braided twin tails to in front or back and could be put up or down. So over all a success!
My commissions are open.Â
Fourth plush in the commissioned D&D group! I used iron on vinyl for the first time for this commission in order to do the shield and cloak sigil. And it was honestly way easier to use then I had feared! I will use it much more frequently from now on. Even if it’s shininess blinds me while taking pictures.
My commissions are open.Â
Number three in the D&D party commissioned OC’s, the fox sorcerer! He was super fancy and the floppy hat (no seriously that’s what they are called) gave me a great deal of trouble but I think I managed to pull it off in the end.
My commissions are open.
Second in a series of D&D commissioned OC’s. This time of their party’s grumpy cleric. It was fun adding facial hair to a plush and getting that graying hair in. It’s not something I’ve gotten to do before and it was really neat to do.Â
My commissions are open.
I tried a few new things with this commission. A new style of eyebrows to try to make the face more expressive and new smaller shoes. I really like how both turned out and will be keeping the changes.Â
If you would like a commission of your own here is the info page.
Witch Mercy! A pocket sized pocket healer!Â
This was a pretty difficult project to take on! I learned quite a bit while doing this plush, which totally makes it worth it even if I had to start over a couple times. On the whole I am pleased with how it turned out and I hope to be able to use the hat pattern I drafted for this again!Â
If you would like this pocket healer for your own pocket she is available on my Etsy!
My commissions are open.
Black Cat D.Va! The best things in life come in small packages!Â
I tried out a new eye style for this plush and I think it’s a keeper. This plush was a bevy of bows and frills. There are no fewer than 10 bows on this plush of all sizes. Overwatch has such detailed outfits! I look forward to doing more in the future.Â
If you would like this small package for your very own she’s available now on my Etsy.Â
My commissions are open.
Here’s the whole plush Star Guardian team together at last! It’s been a real fun challenge to make the whole team. I certainly learned a lot about plushie hair! I think I can now make twin tails in my sleep.
If you want to take a member of the team home with you, they are currently guarding my Etsy page.Â
