Neuroanatomy things :)
lessons from this summer.
slow. down. your constant rushing and need to get everything done as quickly as possible is impacting your health. i know you want to achieve your dream life, and i know the dedication is there. but there is absolutely no reason to approach everything with an overwhelming sense of urgency. you will get to the things you need to get to.
prioritize your health. mental, physical, and spiritual. when your health is in check, you’re able to recharge and put your newfound energy into creating the things you want to create. the outcome somehow ends up being so much better, anyway.
little things count. though grand gestures have a place of their own, there is something to be said about the smaller, more subtle acts. donating the change in your wallet in the nearest tip jar. taking your 10 item to-do list and only checking off the 3 most important items by the end of the day, leaving the rest for the next day. reading a short passage before bed - 15 minutes of a fictional book, or non-fiction, an interesting article, or the bible.
you are stronger than you think. lift those heavier set of weights at the gym. say “no” more often. continue training your brain to rest at various times of the day. your strength may not be loud and ‘out there’, but it is there.

Eleventh of August 2018 | 18/100 intentional things
I’ve had such a slow morning today. I’m still a bit sick so I stayed home and did some washing, cleaning and organising. Now to fix up my notes from this week! I feel so relaxed.

“You’re always studying.”
Literally the best compliment someone can give me.

school is starting soon and I’m starting to feel the summer blues ☜
but I got a new Leuchtturm to bullet journal and a planner for school so I have something to look forward to!

I only had two classes this week but they were pretty heavy. I’ve got so much homework for next week and I already started to study for an exam on the 29th.
Also, don’t you hate it when your teacher explains a subject jumping from one chapter of the textbook to another? I color code chapters and that kind of thing messes with my color coding, professor.
Also, my university was on strike this week and it will likely go on strike next week. That’s what happens when the government thinks education isn’t that important and cuts funds and refuses to raise salaries. God, I am so mad.
On a good note, I reconnected with two childhood friends and I’m so happy!
I hope you have a nice weekend 🖤

Good morning☀️
Lots of readings this semester, but I guess that’s what to expect at this level. I’ll try my best so I don’t get overwhelmed!
