@lunarmotherau
The new leader of the Wind Clan, the Wind Mother, is Phire Lan Se.
Her father stepped down after the events of the Blood Clan traitor, the event having taken it’s toll on his body and mind.
I’m thinking that the new addition to the AU is going to be a bit in the future after the events of the last arc.
Since many people weren’t around back then and would probably like to get in on this.
This WON’T mean that the rp’s of the past arc can’t ever be resolved, but it DOES mean that unless the characters took part in the arc, it won’t be mentioned in conversation.
Since it’s being considered that the lunar mother au is getting back up and running, the info on the blog will be updated in time
Gotta post at least once so this blog doesn’t lock us out
I’m totally not thinking about this AU again, what are you all talking about?
Eeeeey drew a sort of thingy for the Lunar Clan.
Facts about the Wind Clan
The Wind clan is among the most reclusive of the clans.
They don't particularly like being around the other clans much.
The current Wind Father, however, is a kind man who loves all of his children and will fight to protect them.
The Wind clan's Mother/father is determined first by bloodline, then, if there is none, trial of power.
The Wind clan controls the skies, they are looked upon to keep an eye out for potential threats to the clan's safety.
The Wind Father doesn't exactly have any alliance with any other clan, but he respects the Flame clan more than the others.
Facts about the Lunar Clan
The Lunar clan's members are among the strongest when it comes to raw power.
Though the Lunar clan is considered the most powerful, it's members are few, numbering in the 30's.
The current Lunar Mother has spent her entire life inside the clan's boundaries, having been born of a clan member and their mate and raised by the clan instead of first being raised as a human.
Lunar Clan members can be composed of wolves born as werewolves, or as humans who receive the Lunar blessing.
The Lunar blessing chooses fitting beings to inherit the Lunar clan's powers.
The Lunar clan and Sea clan are considered strong allies.
The Lunar Mother can literally control the moon. She can pull it in, push it out, change it's cycles, and if she chooses, completely destroy it. It was important for her to learn to control her powers when she first became the Lunar Mother, she often forgot herself and rose the tides at inopportune times.
The Lunar mother opens her arms to anyone who feels that they belong in the Lunar clan. It doesn't matter what they are, she welcomes them to her family.
Sword of First Light
A legendary weapon which is passed onto one Flame Clan leader to the next.
It is shaped like a bastard sword and can be wielded by one or two hands depending on the strength of the user. Its made out of the very rare material Adamantine and is said to be indestructible and glows with a dim beautiful shine.
Nobody is really sure where it came from or its maker, as it has no signature or brand to signify it. What is known is that it was wielded by the first Flame Mother Vindex who passed it onto Rainart and then Reven.
Each Flame Clan leader renames the sword and its current name is Ing, after Reven’s deceased lover.
Despite its role it is not a ceremonial weapon and is designed to see combat however the current flame father does not use it often.
More facts on the AU.
Because the Sea Mother has two children named Dawn, Dawn the I (aka the spirit) has attempted to give herself titles to distinguish between them. She is referred to by herself and subordinates as The Greater Dawn, in reference to the Iliad, along with with Major Dawn. However to most the clan she’s known by her original title The Grass Viper
many elder members of the Sea Clan are not actually accustomed to speaking in “modern” language and have to force themselves to speak with normal modern syntax.
While mermaids mainly stuck to eating humans before it was outlawed, sirens used to have more of a taste for more powerful beings such as werewolves and harpies. However the consumption of sentients has been outlawed for centuries in the Sea Clan now. . . Except under special circumstances.
Not only is most of the Sea Clan wary of the surface world, but many of the older members are also incredibly superstitious. Thanks to that the Blood Clan isn’t very popular with many members.
Even more facts on the SC:
The reason why very important members of the clan have loyal as their title is because the clan styled itself off of the societies they’d met in the early days. However they didn’t want to have an actual royal family so they just chose something that sounds similar (They went specifically with loyal though because loyalty is highly among them.).
Some merfolk actually have blood stored in the back of their throat that they can hack up as a defensive mechanism.
Because sirens are naturally attracted to shiny things many of them have piles of the stuff just laying around.
Many non siren members of the Sea Clan learn to play instruments to compliment the siren’s singing skills.
The Sea Mother still isn’t sure where the idea that sirens about birds came from but she’s really pissed about it.
There are actually three island’s in the sea clan territory. Ogygia which is the Sea Mother’s personal island and concealed by magic. Aeaea which is a visitation “resort” for those visiting the Sea Clan that can’t survive being underwater or need magic to do so. Royllo the island where members of the clan do things that require them to be on land, such as dueling.
More facts on the Sea clan:
They actually do have a small cavalry. They’ve alway perpetuated the rumor that they can only remain in the sea as they ride dolphins however this is not true. In all actuality most of the cavalry are kelpie taking the forms of humans, or other members of the sea clan riding on kelpie.
In their natural forms almost all the standard species that make up the Sea Clan have webbed fingers and toes.
The conservation of nature is considered a very important thing by the Sea Clan. Especially preventing the pollution of their oceans.
The Sea Mother has a special chambered room containing aspects of all the clans in an attempt to show the balance of the world. She relaxes in there.
Because sirens make up a majority of the clan and sirens spend a lot of time singing, musicals are the most popular form of entertainment for the majority of the people down there.
The Sea Mother has a collection of photos and paintings of herself with important figures from her lifetime.
Because of their carnivorous nature and the fact that they usually don’t stop to cook their food (or any preparation at all really), both sirens and merfolk can ingest blood without any problem. However it has no actual benefits for them like it would for say a vampire.
Sirens and merfolk lay eggs like fish, however do to the fact that they are magical creatures they can reproduce with things such as humans.
While the “shark like” merfolk are standard there are different species of merfolk out there as well. Such as anglerfish variants (they even have the light)
Dueling is still to this day recognized as a form of settling disputes and preserving ones honor among the Sea Clan. Both with pistols and swords, though pistol is the far more common option. However under most circumstances the duels are not to the death as it would lend a great advantage to the more durable species of the clans or those with more powerful protective magic such as the Sea Mother. The fact that sirens/merfolks are generally capable of surviving more than the average human also helps. Instead duels are fought to the first hit like that of a duel to first blood.
It is supposed to be illegal to perform a duel that goes further than first blood except in the most extreme of situations (though plenty have been performed in secret.) however in the case of a duel to the death the competitors are both to be armed with silver weapons to take away most magic advantages.
To not accept a challenge from a fellow member of the Sea Clan is the second biggest way to dishonor yourself. The first is cheating in a duel.
However because of differences in culture it is not considered dishonorable to deny a challenge of a duel from someone not of the Sea Clan nor is it considered dishonorable for them to reject a members challenge. (If anything it’s considered rude to challenge someone who hadn’t grown up as a member of the clan)
Honor is in general still considered to be an important thing among the Sea Clan and because of that duels are seen as serious business.
The current Sea Mother has been in the most duels of anyone in the clan though this is more from age and being from a time when it was much more common than for any inclination towards actually dueling (in fact she hates the idea of hurting her metaphoric children however the members of the clan had a tendency to challenge her). She’s also only ever lost three duels with swords and one with pistols. Though it is still debated to the day if the pistol duel Rill lost actually counts.
teamarsc:.
I’ve been wanting to take part in @twiggenstein‘s Lunar Mother AU but didn;t how to introduce my ocs for some time.
So I decided screw it just gonna punt them in there.
Ash Rothschild is a golem and Reine Neri is a lamia/naga (don’t know the right term)
They’re both travel companions/best friends.
I’ll throw up a starter or something soon.
-flails off into a pile of glitter-
Lunar Mother welcomes you.
And don’t forget that all the important info for the AU goes on

On Wendigo’s
So since as far as I’m aware I’m the only person with a wendigo muse in the AU (though not on this blog), so I decided to post the information about my version of them for the AU. However unlike the Siren one I don’t plan on going into too much detail on this one as I don’t want anyone else who joins the au and makes their character a wendigo to feel restricted you know?
Also just a note the main design for them was created by blending together old legends about them, the D&D version, and the version from Until Dawn. Anyways here’s the fact list on them.
Wendigo are actually spirits (Demon to be more specific) that possess the body of some other living thing.
A wendigo can only possess something that has either committed cannibalism within their territory or that is on the brink of starvation.
The actual transformation from the normal body of the host into the physical form of a wendigo does not take place until after the act of cannibalism has happened at least once
The wendigo spirit can be exorcised from the host body so long as the transformation hasn’t been completed yet.
It takes roughly 3-11 days for the transformation to complete depending on the will power of the host.
The term wendigo can be used interchangeable for both the actual spirit and the physical body the spirit possess
Anything that fits the above requirement can be possessed by a wendigo, however they prefer humanoids.
There are very few wendigo spirits left in the world, those that are are very territorial.
No matter what their host body was a wendigo is a pure carnivore.
Once possessed, the host body does not age.
Though wendigo’s physical forms look different depending on what their host originally was there are some standard similarities. Specifically they’re roughly twice the size of their hosts original body, their skin is pure white like the snow, and their teeth are razor sharp. Normally they’re very thin like a person near starvation, but what body mass they do have left is practically pure muscle.
They’re very fast and strong, however they’re poorly grounded and a semi powerful hit would send one flying through the air.
They’re renowned for being both efficient and deadly hunters.
Much like in Until Dawn their skin is very hard to pierce, however unlike in UD they aren’t completely immune to it. A powerful bow or gun can put a dent in their armor.
Despite being quite resistant to piercing they don’t have the Until Dawn wendigo’s resistance to bashing. In fact if no fire on hand this is the easiest way to scare one off
If their physical body is not killed a wendigo’s body will regenerate itself. Most injuries take roughly a two days to a week to recover from however burns take about a month and dismemberment takes about a year if they limbs that were ripped off are lost.
Wendigo naturally fear fire it is their biggest weakness and the easiest way to kill them (then again that applies to most things).
Since at heart a Wendigo is a spirit they have just as much a weakness to cold iron weapons as ghosts and demons do. A cold iron bullet/blade/arrow tip will pierce their skin just as easily as it would a normal humans.
Wendigo’s territory is almost always in frozen locations.
Wendigo are normally solitaire creatures that don’t join any clan. However whenever they do they’ve been known to be part of both the Glacial and Blood clan.
Many are known to practice wind magic (This is mainly in reference to the fact that they can turn into the wind in Dungeons and Dragons) and in a few rare cases (normally incredibly old ones) ice magic. However no other magic works for them.
Wendigo are capable of screaming incredibly loudly at a piratically ear drum shattering pitch. However most normally don’t use this as an offense and instead as a show of anger or emotion.
Their is an incredibly small number of Wendigo left in the world as they rarely ever mate, however there are two ways for this to happen. Either A. A wendigo spirit must mate with a demon while in it’s spirit form, or B. Wendigo can mate through their physical host. Both almost never happen however do to how highly territorial they are.
The Clan of Flames
Alias: Flame Clan, Fire Clan, Clan of Life
Leader Title: Dancer in Flames
Current: Reven
Succession: The next leader is chosen collectively by the clan based on willpower and the ability to live as brightly and strongly as they can. Despite its vague wording those within the clan understand perfectly well.
A person who can carry their hopes and admiration. Someone who runs without stopping, who shrugs off everything and gazes at the horizon beyond. One whose inner flame burns brighter then all others. Only such a person could ascend to the leader of The Clan of Life.
There is no real vote or forum about it but rather something that just becomes apparent over time. Often times (as in all the cases so far) the successor is acknowledged before the death or retirement of the one currently in charge.
The successor must make a pilgrimage to the peak of Mt. Dolaidh (See below in Territory) for it to be completely official. No one but the clan leader themselves completely understand its importance.
Membership: Like most clans they accept anyone but their training is severe and its not uncommon for people to quit and join another clan.
Hopefuls are considered full fledged members once they finish/survive the preliminary training and they have significantly greater freedom to do what they please. There are exceptions of people who have other roles and skip training.
However once you pass and are get in almost nobody ever leaves. There exists a fierce sense of companionship and a devotion to your fellow comrades in arms.
Culture: The Clan boasts a strong warrior tradition, prizing strength and will power above all else. They strive to live beautifully and believe a strong spirit, mind and body are essential to that purpose.
(More to come later)
Creatures: Those that form are typically monsters with fire related abilities or legends associated with them. Some examples include fire elementals, Chimera, Jinn, Qilin, Ifrit, certain demons, etc. Some are rarer then others.(Again this is just a few examples.)
The most famous and strongest of the fire clan are Dragons, Kitsunes and the Phoneix each possessing great power and capable of special flames.
Will go more indepths on some later.
Territory: Their territory is diverse set of lands which allows them to prepare i in most climates but most of it are series of badlands, mountains and valleys. Its very difficult to traverse unless you know the way which leads to few visitors. The hard terrain and harsh climate especially drives in the harsh life of the flame clan.
The camps are set out all along then territory and shift places often leading to no accurate mapping of their location.
A location of great importance in the center of the territory is a great mountain called Mt. Dolaidh. The final battlefield between two dragons that ripped apart the landscape and thrashed through the other territories in a legendary fight ages ago.
On the mountain are monuments to heroes of the past. Interesting enough this isn’t just confined to just members of the flame clan. And most prominently a memorial to the past Flame Clan Leaders.
(Subject to change)
Motto/Anthem:
Oh warrior of flame who now stands beside the gate of death and life,
Throw away those tears and stand tall with pride.
Wrap yourself in unyielding spirit and resolve,
To shield the weak and guide the strong.
Vindex’s Sephiram Motto:
“Carrying the prayers of humanity within, we burn”
Trivia:
They do not use the offering system set up by the Blood Clan partly because of their complicated relationship but mostly because they prefer to handle all manners within.
The clan also harbors a very close connection to Humans and many hunters would prefer not to fight their clan partly out of respect and partly out of fear of their reputation.
They are known to assist and help train other clans.
Oh by the way whenever the members page was first made there was some info I wasn’t sure about regarding the statutes of some people’s muses. So if anybody sees any question marks or something wrong about one of your muses in there just please send an ask about it (or ya know reply to this post), and I’ll fix it. Also if there is anything wrong I apologize for the mistake
