i believe john assaulted dean at as a kid. maybe sam a few times too (i think it was canon that john sent dean away on hunts so he could spend alone time with sam), but i feel like dean would’ve tried his best to never let anything happen to sam, and made sure that anything john intended on doing to sam was instead taken out on dean, so that dean could protect his baby bother
