Post for March 24th 2023

this week I was able to get more photos of F-18s visiting Sky Harbor as well as dusk photos of the British Airways A350 that operates a regular service between LHR and PHX every day.

These are various photos I managed to capture of F-18s that were briefly staying at PHX last weekend, being able to catch them was mostly up to luck as there isn't really any way to effectively track them via adsb or flightradar24.

This is a USAF C-17, normally stationed at March AFB which landed at PHX on the morning of March 24th, likely stopping h ere in preparation to then head down to Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson for the upcoming Airshow.

This is the British Airways A350-1000 earlier mentioned, specifically G-XWBL.

This is the American Airlines 777-200LR N788AN departing for a flight from PHX to LHR. The first photo also features a 737-800 lined up with the 777 in an attempt to demonstrate scale

This is a WestJet 737-700 specifically C-GYWJ taking off from PHX Sky Harbor.

This is a PrimeAir 737-8(F) operated by Sun Country Airlines on a cargo charter to PHX. Unlike the widebodies that operate under Prime Air, the 737 has a primarily blue paintjob covering the majority of the fuselage.

Finally, this is a Mesa Airlines CRJ-900 reg. N914F, operating in the colors of Mesa Airlines, something that isn't as common at PHX because most flights operated by Mesa to PHX are operated through American Eagle.

Post for March 17th 2023

this post is going to probably have a wider variety of aircraft than the ones I normally have because this is going to use aircraft from the last few months.

USAF KC-135 reg. 57-1487, operating under the callsign COPPER6 at the time of the photo. The airframe has been in service with the US Air Force for 35 years.

ABX Air 767-200(F) reg. N740AX. This airframe is 41 years old, having originally served with Delta Airlines before being purchased by ABX air and subsequently delivered in March of 2006.

Southwest Airlines 737-800 reg, N8620H "Tennessee One" landing at PHX. It has served exclusively served with Southwest and is 9 years old.

China Airlines A350-900 reg. B-18901 landing at PHX. This airframe is 6 years old and has served exclusively with China Airlines. At the time of this photo it was operating as CAL36.

American Airlines 787-9 reg. N834AA taking off from PHX to OGG. this airframe is 5 years old and has served exclusively with American Airlines. At the time of the photo it was operating under the flight number AA432.

Delta Airlines 757-300 reg. N859NW landing at PHX. This airframe is 20 years old and became a part of Delta's fleet when they acquired Northwest Airlines in 2008. at the time of this photo it was operating under the flight number DAL1114.

WestJet 737--800 reg C-FUCS and Lynx air 737-8 MAX next to each other as one departs and the other arrives, they are the two canadian airlines that operate regular services to PHX.

An EA-18 'Growler' flying out of PHX. While I'm not entirely sure why there's a navy aircraft in Arizona, my guess is that it's here for the next week in preparation for the Thunder and Lightning over Arizona Airshow next weekend.

This is my first post really putting effort into this blog so feel free to give me any advice or requests for planes you'd like to see (within reason as only so much flies here).

Hello again

so as all 3 of my followers might have noticed, I basically posted once and then vanished in to the ether, I’ve decided that was probably a bad idea so I’m going to start trying to maintain a regular post schedule. The current plan is to post every Friday.

Most of my posts are going to be in the form of a weekly recap of things that I’ve seen and/or taken photos of. This is with the exception of the last Friday of every month, which will be themed around something (for example: Southwest state flag liveries) outside of my regular posts on Fridays there will sometimes be posts of special events or places I’ve gone to, as an example, there is going to be a post outside the regular schedule later this month as I am going to be attending the Davis Monthan AFB Thunder and Lightning over Arizona airshow.

if anybody has any ideas regarding themed posts, feel free to let me know! I’ll be sure to credit any themed posts whose themes come from other people.

Eastern Airlines 767-300 reg. N700KW flying CYOD -> KPHX on November 15th. This airframe is 30 years old and has served with a variety of airlines, from British Airways to Qantas to Paraguay Airlines, until it was bought by Dynamic Airways in 2014 before the airline bought the intellectual property of Eastern Airlines and rebranded in 2018.

Delta Airlines 757-300 reg N585NW flying KMSP to KPHX, this airframe is 20 years old and was acquired by Delta during their merger with Northwest in 2008.

This is a United Airlines 737 MAX9 reg N37502, the airframe itself is only around 4.5 years old, with United having first received it on April 26, 2018. At the time of this photograph it was flying KDEN -> KPHX.

this is an Air Canada A320 reg C-FZQS, this airframe is 19 years old and has served exclusively with Air Canada, at the time of this photograph it was flying CYVR -> KPHX
