In case anyone missed the show at the weekend, here it is in its entirety.
Lizzie phoned into the studio yesterday. We chatted about music, dogs, and she played our brand new Google Game!
I interviewed Benjamin Francis Leftwich over the summer and I was finally able to play it out on Lunch with Tom today! Here it is in case you missed it.
Tune in now! I'm here on air until 2pm. You'll get to here my interview with Benjamin Francis Leftwich as well as all the usual features. Click here to listen live.
It's Tomorrow!
It came round so fast. Join me live on air tomorrow, 12-2pm online at ury.org.uk or across York on 1350AM! I'll be playing my interview with Benjamin Francis Leftwich and doing some quizzes with a guest as well as playing some cracking music as always! See you there for Lunch with Tom.
'Overjoyed' by Bastille
I had to post another on of these fantastic Listen Watch Tell videos here. This time it's Bastille with their track 'Overjoyed'. An a cappella version of a track that may well get played on the show this weekend!
'Gangnam Style' by PSY
I couldn't get away with not playing this on the first show, so make sure you tune in on Saturday!
'Shine' by Benjamin Francis Leftwich
So here's the first sneak peek of what is to come in the shows this term. I will be interviewing more and more artists over the year and I want to bring as many of these to my show as possible. A few weeks back I had a chat with Benjamin Francis Leftwich and he played us a couple of tracks in the studio. I will be playing that interview with him over the next couple of weeks!
Just four days!
In just four days, the first Lunch with Tom of the term will be broadcast! I will be trying to keep this blog as alive as possible by sharing music videos that I like at the moment as well as ideas and sneak peeks of what is coming up in future weeks of the show.
The show will be at the same time and day as it was before the summer; 12-2pm every Saturday. I will have at least one guest on the show each week and it may often be co-presented by URY colleagues, Kirsty and Ben. Rather than having multiple recurring features each week, I will try to come up with a new feature each week to keep the show fresh.
As always, you can keep up to date with the show by checking back here or by liking the page on facebook.
Don't forget to tune in this coming Saturday at noon on ury.org.uk.

This is the week Matt took the quiz...find out how he did!
'Don't Stop (Colour on the Walls)' by Foster the People
This is the last teaser music video before the show tomorrow! I quite believe how long it has been since I did a live show. I'm buzzing with excitement. I will also be trialing a live video stream which I will post a link to tomorrow morning once I work out how to sort it out.
Coming up in the show tomorrow will be my world-famous 'Guess the Year' quiz with my two guests from Newcastle, Matt and Emily. I will also do a roundup of the UK's top ten singles, play a couple of requests from listeners, and have some more fun and games.
Finally, here's a song. I'll be playing it tomorrow along with many other summery songs
'Too Young' by Tom Williams & The Boat
This new video has just been released this morning. It's the band's official video and it's really impressive. Plus I've always had a love of animation! Anyway, these guys just seem to be getting bigger and better all the time. They are even playing at Bestival this coming September. They just released this track as part of their second album last month.
'Escapee' by Architecture in Helsinki
Right, it's only 48 hours until Lunch with Tom on Saturday! To get you in the mood, here's a cracking tune, requested by my friend Phil. Anyone who plays FIFA 12 should recognise this! Architecture in Helsinki are an indie pop band from Melbourne. You should definitely check them out if you haven't already! I'll probably be playing this track on Saturday. Make sure you're tuned in!
'Breezeblocks' by alt-J
I'm back! I have had an extremely hectic week last week with exams, hence the lack of show last Saturday. I'm now very happy to tell you that I've finished all my exams, lectures, practicals and seminars for the year, meaning I can put all my time and effort into making radio! I have two very extremely special guests for the lunchtime show this Saturday who are traveling all the way from Newcastle! How will either of them do at my quiz, 'Guess the Year'?
I also have plans to bring back 'The Up and Coming Show' for the remaining weeks of this term. (since I have nothing else to do!) I'm getting extremely excited with all this hot weather as it's nearly festival season, and The Up and Coming Show will be covering all the unheard-of bands who will be playing the major festivals this summer.
Anyway, I'll keep you all updated with what's going on with that. Tune in at 12pm on Saturday to hear Lunch with Tom. In the meantime, I'll leave you with a great track that's had a lot of plays on Radio 1 recently. This is 'Breezeblocks' by alt-J.
Apologies to everyone who tried to tune in to the show yesterday! I had recorded it but it didn't get played out. You can listen to the full show in the player above though. It was a good'n. Ronan came on the show as this week's guest and he won the 'Guess the Year' quizz beating Matt to top spot in the leaderboard! You can check out the leaderboard by clicking on 'Quizzes' at the top of this page.
'Wessex Boy' by Frank Turner
I played this on the show last Saturday. Tune in this week to here more Frank Turner!
'Lady Percy' by King Charles
I will playing this track on the show this coming Saturday. Can't wait to see them in the summer!
