”It doesn’t follow the original lore!!” “It’s too slow!!” “There shouldn’t be monsters!!!” I DON’T GIVE A SHIT. I STILL HAD A GOOD TIME WATCHING IT NO MATTER HOW “INACCURATE” AND “SLOW” IT WAS.

Plus I feel that people are just completely ignoring the point of the movie and the fact that it’s not supposed to be a recreation of the og backrooms. It’s KANE PIXEL’S interpretation of the backrooms. If you don’t like his version of it, and/or prefer the og idea over the video series (and are gonna throw a massive hissy fit over different interpretations) then don’t watch it. All you’re doing is setting yourself up for disappointment, because the og backrooms is not what you’re gonna get. I understand if people didn’t like it for other reasons, but saying it was bad because it was inaccurate just rubs me the wrong way.

While the movie was not perfect (as no movie is), it was way better than I was expecting it to be—granted my expectations were already fairly high—and in my opinion, I think the hate is very forced and unfounded.
