"A wolf?" She wasnβt educated in spirits, so it was interesting to learn exactly how he worked. "Why do you look more human then?"
{ βΏ }ββ Amarok laughed before twirling a lock of white around a lightly tanned digit. "Well, demon. You see, I am merely in human form. When I hunt is when I change into my spirit form."
β| A raise of Gilbertβs brow came in response to the kidβs sudden snickering over his words. What the hell could possibly be so funny about that? Never mind it, he supposed. Until he figured out exactly what this thing was in front of him, he may want to be wary. Quite frankly, heβd be quite glad to snap at this personβ¦ creatureβ¦ being thing in front of him. Perhaps even just walk away from him and let someone else take care of the business of hauling him in for questioning. Now that Gilbert thought things overβ¦ was this creature a he in the first place? Certainly appeared human, but floating and wings never were an option for someone much as himself. Heβ¦ sheβ¦ it had a weird name to boot! A quizzical expression pulled itself to his features as his line of sight followed his every move. βThe nameβs Gilbert," stated in a matter-of-fact tone.
Cock of his head to the left with a raised brow, the raven let out a light hmph against the laughter shot in his direction. βI get that much," tone a little more tart this time around at the otherβs words. That hardly had been what Gilbert meant when asking his question, but more-so toward the fact of him examining his soul? How the hell could someone do that?! He knew well enough whatever he was, he was far from human even for his outward appearance. "Your hunting grounds?" Those words gained a hearty laugh this time around from the raven, against all better odds, right before he let out a gruff sound [perhaps close to a grunt]. Flicking his head backwards slightly, what seemed to be a smirk tugged at his lips and yet his gaze still showed signs of a growing agitation. "These grounds belong to no one. Anyone is free to go as they please. If you think land simply belongs to use because you roam around it, youβre in for a rough time, kid. Unless of course you think youβre all high and mighty for being able to doβ¦ whatever the hell it is youβre doing.β
{ βΏ }ββ Amarok let out a quiet, startled gasp when the other burst out laughing himself. Certainly unexpected. Pouting and leaning back, the spirit crossed his arms over his chest and huffed childishly. "Yes, my hunting grounds!" Amarok barked. A white eyebrow twitched in belated response, the laughter rang freshly through his thinking. Heaving a heavy sigh and crossed his arms behind his head, the Adlivunian arched a lone brow, baby blue optics still gazing into Gilbert's honey yellow. "I think? No, no. I am high and mighty, thank you very much." He smirked before breaking out into a soft hum. "Actually... these lands are only mine during nightfall. It's when I receive my most powers back from Amaguq." he explained, though expected the raven not to give an ounce of care. Shivering at the mere sound of his god's name rolling off his tongue, Amarok quickly regained his laid-back posture and brushed silky, white locks away from his vision.
Β Β "And as for your name... it's interesting. I like it, you're the first person I've ever met with that name so far." he commented. Tapping his chin with his index finger, Amarok blinked before causing his spirit wings to shatter like glass; the "shards" disappearing before they could even hit the ground below. Landing skillfully on his high heel-clad feet, the creature of Adlivun stretched his arms. Blue irises began aglow as he once again took another peek into the mortal's soul. Amarok couldn't stop staring at this peculiar phenomenon. If Amaguq and Pana could see this then they'd be just as curious and amazed with this human being's Inua as well.
Β Β "Why does your soul have a creature bound to it?" he asked. Perking his head up now that he wasn't around height level with Gilbert, Amarok tilted his head and placed a lone hand upon his hip.

β| Lowering the raised hand, he just sort of stared at this kid at his words. Honestly, Gilbert hardly cared whether pointing was rude or not. If someone found it rude? So be it. If someone didnβt care? All the better. βLike it really matters to me," he murmured the words to himself. Soft sigh escaping him, he crossed his arms over his chest eyes his gaze bore down on this kid. Usually anyone he randomly came into contact never interested him enough to find out more about them. After all, Gilbert had better things to do than idly chit-chatting with folks around the streets of the city. "Andβ¦ exactly who would you be?" If this kid were a chain, he most likely would have tried to attack him by now, for whatever reason it may be. Plus, the only chain ever known to possess a human form was B-Rabbit. Eh..? What the hell was this kid even going on about now? Intriguing about his soul? Observing him? Eyelids narrowed inward with a twitch of his brows. βWhat the hell are you even babbling on about now?β
{ βΏ }ββ Amarok snickered at the man's words. He was a hypocrite for calling the other out on pointing when he, himself, was guilty of such a rude act--though, he only did so rarely. Straightening his sitting posture, he then leaned forward and cupped his cheeks with both hands while he used an invisible surface to rest his elbows on and proceeded to kick his legs back and forth in a rather feminine manner. "I'm Amarok, nice to meet you." he introduced himself almost immediately afterward, a smirk gracing his lips. "Who might you be, human?" If the man knew his identity, then he'd want to be knowledgeable of his, too.
Β Β A burst of bubbly, amused laughter was bestowed upon the floating, embodied Adlivunian at the question of his spoken ramblings. "I am explaining why I was following you." Flapping his glowing spirit wings, he slowly circled the man before him, unmoving in his position however. "I'd also like to know why you're walking about my hunting ground." He jabbed a lone thumb towards the thick forest not far from where the male stood and he float. Despite it being only the afternoon nearing evening, Amarok reigned over the forest but was stripped of his duty as a soul collector until night fell upon the world of the living. Still, when someone was near his territory --much like a wolf-- he'd stalk and observe, perhaps attack, whoever was trespassing.Β
β| Initially the shock of finally seeing exactly who had been watching him took the raven by surprise. Normally heβd see such awkward and creepy creatures that scrawled their way out of the Abyss to contract with an every day human being, but some of them didnβt appear all that hellish. Calming down, he gave this being a curious look. βI just had a feeling someone was watching meβ¦ I guess that would be you?" Inquiring, he raised his hand to point a finger in this floating strangerβs attention. What the hell was he anyways? Gilbert knew it wasnβt a chain from the Abyss, that much granted. What would that leave?
{ βΏ }ββ His head perked up at the gesture and he blinked multiple times before huffing through his nose. "Pointing is rude, human." he scolded the other. Then he rose his shoulders only to drop them in a lazy shrug. "To answer your question... that'd be me, yes." Amarok brought a hand up to brush white, unruly silk-like bangs away from his line of vision. It was no where near nightfall and yet, Amarok had took to wondering the world of living instead of staying with his "parents" back in the underworld. He'd been keeping himself hidden from the humans whilst in his journey of observation until he noticed something strange about this particular man's Inua. That was when he took to watching and following the other around before eventually giving into his curiosity and taking a peek into his soul. "There is something intriguing about your soul, I just had to observe you."
β| Upon realization that someone was staring at him, he turned his gaze around ever-so-slightly for bright honey golden irises to see who was there. Of course Gilbert was use to other staring at him in the end, usually whispering to one another for some given reason, not that he ever wished to entirely find out in the long run. Silence fell briefly before speaking up, tone low and dark. βWhoβs there?β
{ βΏ }ββ The Adlivunian released his spirit wings and flapped them lightly. Gifted with the ability to defy gravity, Amarok floated amongst the air and neared the human. Leaning back and crossing his arms behind his head in a casual, laid back manner; he whistled. Hitching one leg over the other, the creature spirit stopped a few feet away from the male. "Aw, you noticed my presence so quickly, how interesting." he commented. The average human usually wouldn't be able to notice his company unless he granted them permission.

{ βΏ }ββ A pair of baby blue orbs began glowing. "--What is this...?" he spoke quietly. Peering into the other's core, Amarok could hardly believe it. He was human, but there seemed to be a creature spirit bound to his soul.
"Ah, that is unfortunate, my mistake then. I apologize"
{ βΏ }ββ "It's fine." He hummed and gave a lazy shrug of his shoulders. "Actually, that's a lie, too. I'm a wolf spirit." Amarok smirked and brushed white strands of loose hair away from his eyes.
