his anger ( irritation? they remember those are different , but - but - the finer details of variation have left them ) is so bright , so - alive. it leaves extremities tingling in that numb way and greying figure flickers in and out of visual perception. one second there , then gone , then back but hazy around the edges. dark-shadowed eyes blink at him from their place in pale , blurry featured face - smudged photograph that they have become. “ - b o r e d.” the word hisses from their lips in a stream of static clicks and fuzz. words are hard , even with so much energy buzzing through them from the living thing’s excitement.

he is trying to get a grasp on the stranger --- on what they are , what they were ?? ... something . but they are flickering , and their scent is near - impossible . it’s all ice and cold air and only some soft amount of defining . a frustrating reality . not just their scent --- he is faced with something that is here one moment and then not , and inwardly soft tinge of sadness settles within stomach as he pleads to not be returning to a cowardly mental state . no more hallucinations . but they are speaking !! far too much noise and action for wolf boy to be making this up --- ‘ what d’you like to do ?? ’

‘ mine gave me ... coffee , morning after full moon . with sugar and honey . ’ pushing own cup aside with a disapproving huff , wolf straightened out his back , his expression , before settling . other wolves gave him unease , but he would not show it . he had already betrayed himself once before . ‘ of course ... ?? is that how it’s supposed to be ?? ’ a curious kind all the same , ‘pon agreement hands had reached out to pluck and bring cup to lips with a nod to the other . in his mind , anything would be better than peppermint , and this concoction did not betray him . silkier than the last , sweeter . nod this time was of approval before porcelain was pushed back over , ‘ it’s good . ’

‘ you can tell on sight ?? you smell like a friend i have . you’re uh ... magic ?? he smells more ashy than you , though . like used campfire wood . ’ he’s musing between sips , mulling over the taste that spread over his tongue . draven is asking questions , jakub is raising his brow . perhaps it was a common trait of people to be so curious . in this town , at least . ‘ my friend works here . i bring him lunch . he gives me free drinks . ’ finding no harm in indulging information , cup is placed back down and pushed towards warlock . ‘ socks ?? you have a weird diet . ’ there is humour in wolf’s tone , but is quickly quietened as he retreats to regular persona , ‘ sounds gross . ’
