LUSH: a candy shop for your body and soul
Reviews!!
It's been a year since I started with Lush products (although I admit, I got lazy posting all my lush-buying escapades). Today I decided to make a review of the Lush items I tried, stayed with, loved, hated, etc. But I still don't know where to start? What item? Maybe on my next post.
Pitter Patter Lemony Flutter!
This is a post supposedly published months ago that I totally forgot! Anyway, here it is:
The need to visit the Lush store attacked again! It's hard to stay out of one because my office is only 2 blocks away from one store (Greenbelt 3) and a mall away from GB3 ( there's a store at Glorietta 4). I also happen to live near a station away from Shangri-La, and again another Lush store there. So technically, I cannot hide from 1. I called Lush Shangri-La at around 4:30pm to check for Ocean Salt, too bad no stocks yet...but I went anyway and bought Lemony Flutter, Mask of Magnamity and Coalface. ...And I couldn't believe they never gave me any free stuff or sample size of even the cheapest soap there! Lush SA's here in Manila are not that friendly I guess. Anyway back to my stash, I tried immediately after getting home the Lemony Flutter. I thought it would smell nice if it's not inside the tub, but I was soo wrong! It still smelled like plastic citrus. Good thing it was not greasy at all (I only took a teeny weeny bit) and massaged it on my nails and on my heels. I wanted to get a dallop and smother my hands but I'm scared to get my hands too greasy! Oh, and thanks Dan for my Lemony Flutter! :)

This is where I check their products and compare and drool.
Sunday
Woke up very late to a very gloomy sky, but I felt refreshed because I tried the toner tab last night. I went on my usual chores (prepare my laundry for pick up, threw stuff I don't need anymore, etc). Then I decided to go out and have some "me" time. Went to Glorietta, somehow my feet directed me straight to the doors of LUSH! I then decided to buy Jumping Juniper and King of Skin!
I asked for Ocean Salt, but I guess I was destined not to spend too much on lush right now coz they have no stock. I then went to Globe to pay some bills and watched a movie (Eclipse) at Greenbelt 3. Good thing I don't need a heavy foundation like the Cullens. Eww
A Week Passed By...
It’s the weekend. And yes, I still went to the other Lush shop (coz it’s quite embarassing to check my Greenbelt 3 LUSH shop everyday!). This time I asked for something to calm my scalp. Using Rehab and American cream EVERDAY made my hair somewhat greasy. I read on the internet about the retro lush and I liked the Antiphilitron. Too bad they didn’t have it here. The SA asked me to try Soak N’ Float but it smelled too awful I said no straight-up. Then she suggested Jumping Juniper, and I hesitated to buy since I don’t even have the slightest idea about it..
Thursday
Woke up and my face doesn’t seem too oily. I then grabbed the nearest mirror to check, my eyes went saucer-big!! I was so shocked that my skin looked so smooth and fresh and my pores doesn’t looked that much visible. I then hit the shower feeling pretty and happy with my pricey purchase! I tried Retread to see how good this stuff is.
THURSDAY LUNCH I was so full of hope with this promising purchase. I couldn’t believe that it’s almost half of the day and I’m not that greasy and all.
EVE Went back to the shop, and bought a tea tree water for BF. I am soo excited to try this for myself.
The Retread Conditioner seemed to heavy for my hair. My hair fell flat but it is soft and felt hydrated so I’m not giving up on this one yet.
Wednesday
I woke up excited to take a shower. I poured a small amount of rehab, lathered it then rubbed on my hair…no bubbles, seriously? I thought it got foams and stuff. Then I tried American Cream, oh my! The scent is splendid. After my shower, got dressed and pulled my hair into its usual bun (soo hot here in Manila). Went home after 9 hours of work (and a visit to the LUSH store again this time bought a kit), and I still can smell American Cream! Then when I pulled out my bun…ringlets! Luscious locks of hair. Ahh LUSH heaven! I opened my kit, I got Angels on Bare Skin, 2 toner tabs (C and E), 2 sample size of Ultra Bland, 1 sample size each of Enzymion and Vanishing Cream (and a free tiny sample of Fresh Farmacy courtesy of the SA). What a treat! I gave away the Ultra Bland since I don’t wear make-up (just lip balm!), and the FF I gave to BF. I excitedly went to hit the shower and tried my AOBS and then the VC, soo perfect! Slept with a moisturized face, and a nice smelling hair. Heaven!
Tuesday: Go Out and Shop!
After checking LUSH's website, I decided to visit my nearest Lush store Monday night. I asked the saleslady regarding the shampoo and conditioner. She then told me all about the stuff I needed and being undecided as I was, I told her I'd be back by Tuesday. Their products are quite pricey and I need the time to think first if I really need that kind of shampoo.
TUESDAY
I was excited, I read all the reviews and was ready to buy. I went again to the store and bought these: Rehab Shampoo (100g P445)
American Cream Conditioner (100g P375)
and Retread Conditior (P795)
So much for shampoo!

Monday
I was using this internet stuff called stumbleupon and ticked the areas I'm interested in, the usual chick tick -beauty, arts, graphic arts, cartoons, design, etc.
After some sites, I came upon this one about 'No Shampoo'. Interesting, since I am looking for some alternative remedy for my troubled hair (It was falling like crazy! 10 strands when I take a shower, 5-10 strands when I comb it.)
I then read through the comments. A girl commented something about her using all natural lush products. Then it hit me, maybe I need to start using natural stuff and stop using chemical-infested products.
