Stern Grove Festival! First time back in 10+ years I think. God bless those that sit up high amongst the trees cause... f*ck that. Anyway... today was a beautiful day of SOUL! Got there before 8 to work on.. nvr mind. My biz not yours. N E way People were already there securing their spots. Concert does not start until 2, and they started arriving 6:00+ AM to secure their spots. Older Black people ain’t with the sh*ts, they wanna good spot at the show and they gonna make sure they comfortable. Wrapped up my part, off to the picnic table! Peabo Bryson up first. The jams! Love songs that my mom and grandma used to play in the house. True baby’s making music, not that come here b*tch and don’t ask for nothing y’all like nowadays. Can you Woo woo woo? Made the mistake of having audience members come up and try to sing the bridge. No. Nooonono. He performed a lot of songs between the LTD jams and some covers. Didn’t get to all his music due to time so no live performance of “Really don’t need no light”. Sad, love that song. Probably cause it’s hella shady lol. But he did sing my all time fav which will play at my future wedding “Love Ballad” so I’m happy. Look up his greatest hits. He has a lot, they both do. Thank you Sirs. 🙌🏾 I’ll be back. Fin.
