FORMER MEMBERS OF LOVE CLUB — AND WHERE THEY ARE NOW.

SAKAI RYOKO

sakai ryoko was formerly love club’s main rapper. she departed from the group in may 2020, due to ‘creative differences’ — but that was only part of the truth. before love club, ryoko was a soundcloud rapper under the name ‘KOKO’ — and she had a large following. she produced her own music and she wrote all of her lyrics. she uploaded new songs weekly, but when love club was getting ready to debut, lucky love entertainment deleted her account.

after that, ryoko could only produce for her own pleasure. she would submit songs for the group before each comeback, but all of her songs were denied. the company refused to listen to her work and refused to accept it — even if it fit the group’s concept. ryoko was fed up with this behavior — but it wasn’t the only reason why she left the group and the agency.

eunbi — the groups leader — would constantly bully and scrutinized ryoko, everyday to no end. eunbi had degraded ryoko infront of her members and her friends, and even hooked up with her girlfriend purposefully, sending a picture of them together to ryoko. eunbi wanted to see ryoko break — and she did everything in her power to see it happen. ryoko wanted to stay strong and not let eunbi get to her, but when eunbi started to tell lies about her to the agency and her members to turn them against her, ryoko had enough. she could no longer take the abuse, and terminated her contract with lucky love.

a month after leaving lucky love entertainment, ryoko signed with high up entertainment — and was rumored to be apart of their upcoming girl group. ryoko was out of the public eye until september 2020, when she uploaded a cover of jam & butterfly by DPR LIVE on Highup Girls youtube channel. ryoko later made her debut in STAYC in november 2020 as the groups main rapper, co-leader and producer. ryoko had produced and written numerous songs of STAYC, such as SO BAD, ASAP, LOVE FOOL, STEREOTYPE, ILL BE THERE, RUN2U and more.

JEONG EUNBI

jeong eunbi was formerly love club’s main vocalist and leader. eunbi departed from in the group in september 2021 after she was exposed for bullying her members — and the company never confrimed nor denied the rumors. eunbi never uploaded an apology, and disappeared from the public eye. many people speculate that eunbi moved back to australia, while others believe that eunbi is still in south korea, planning to comeback.

after leaving the group, eunbi had stayed in south korea for a few months, before moving to south carolina — going to university to study marketing. eunbi does not plan to return to the public eye, and plans to work a 9-5 job in an office — completely starting over. she legally changed her name to rosette lee shortly after moving to the united states — and has no contact with any of the members of love club. no one has heard from her, not even her family. she started her entire life over.

after eunbi graduates, she will get married to a businessman, daniel park, and will have three children, two girls, amelia and grace, and one boy, noah. only daniel knows of her private life — and eunbi plans to keep it that way.

PARK MIYEON

park miyeon was love club’s former main vocalist and visual. miyeon also departed from the group in september 2021, due to being caught up in a dating scandal with her former manager, dowoon. miyeon and dowoon had got caught dating eachother in 2019, but both parties claimed that they were no longer dating. in 2021, an anonymous twitter account exposed miyeon and dowoon for lying about their relationship — and proved that they were still dating until january 2021 with screenshots of their conversations, and pictures taken of them in the streets.

after leaving love club, miyeon disappeared from the public eye until january 2022. in january it was announced that miyeon had signed with nomoo actors — and with the help of the company — she published a hand-written letter explaining her departure from the group and her relationship with her former manager. she had revealed that she wanted to come public about her relationship with dowoon, but the company silenced her. she also apologized to fans of love club and the members of love club publicly, writing a personal apology to the current members of love club, including yerin and ryoko. the majority of people supporting love club had forgiven miyeon — and continued to support her, but miyeon still faces hate daily.

miyeon landed her first acting role in march 2022, with the historical kdrama, alchemy of souls. she plays jin choyeon — the most popular girl in daeho and the youngest daughter of the Jin family. she has received praise for her performance as the character, and is rumored to join upcoming dramas!

MOON YERIN

moon yerin was love club’s former main vocalist and lead dancer. yerin left the group in january 2022 due to mental and physical concerns. throughout her career, yerin had mentioned that she had suffered with mental illnesses and back pain — but the company never officially commented on it. most assumed that the company didn’t want yerin to talk about it — and yerin confirmed this rumor when she uploaded a youtube video in april of 2022, exposing lucky love entertainment of all the mistreatment they put her and the girls through. once again, lucky love entertainment didnt comment on the video.

FORMER MEMBER OF LOVE CLUB, MIYEON, TO STAR IN HISTORICAL DRAMA, ALCHEMY OF SOULS

Baek Miyeon — a former member of the girl group, Love Club, is set to play ‘Jin Choyeon’ in the new Netflix original, Alchemy of Souls. This will be the first appearance Miyeon will make ever since her departure from Love Club in 2021, and her comeback has sparked divided and opinionated responses from netizens.

In early 2022, Miyeon had signed with ‘Namoo Actors’, and with the help of the agency, she released a hand-written statement — clearing up all the rumors that had spread about her since her departure of Love Club and her relationship with her former manager, Dowon. In the hand-written letter, Miyeon mentioned that she had not been given the chance to speak up for herself — that the company had practically kicked her out. She also shared that she had wanted to go public about her relationship and not lie about — but the company did not let her and forced her to lie.

Miyeon’s honestly and genuine apology had made some fans forgive her for her actions — while some fans still shamed her and refused to accept her apology. Despite the mixed public reaction, Nomoo Actors kept their contract with Miyeon, and she is making her acting debut this summer, with the historical drama, Alchemy of Souls. Miyeon will be acting alongside other actors such as Lee Jaewook, Jung Somin, Hwang Minhyun, and Yoon Insoo — who will be playing her love interest, Park Dang-gu.

Miyeon is very excited to make her TV debut, and shared her excitement on her new instagram page, myonbaek. She opened another instagram after deactivating her personal page in 2021 after signing with Nomoo Actors, and made her first post with a selfie with Song Kang, another actor under the agency!

VALENTINE’S DAY is love club’s first full length album and first comeback since 2021. it is also the group’s first comeback with new members xialing and chaein! the album was released on february 14th, 2022, with the title track FANCY and the promotional b-side HOT. the group promoted for five weeks and earned a total of 4 wins, beating their own record of wins! they also beat the record of the most view they reached in 24 hours! they reached 21.7 million views in 24 hours beating their previous record of 10 million views in 24 hours.

the styling for this era was LEGENDARY. there was so many different styles, nothing ever got repeated. the outfits were always trending on twitter, and there were two sides to the styling. interesting patterns and styles, and then fancy and elegant outfits.

hot’s styling is quite different than fancy’s, it is more chic and more girl crush vibes. the girls were very excited for this styling because it was something none of them tried before, and so were cupids! it was different styling than they were used to but they loved it!

ERA HIGHLIGHTS !

this era will never never be forgotten !!!! it was their first comeback in a whole year, so of course it was going to be legendary.

love club was in the headlines left and right, and their fanbase doubled in numbers! they were the talk of the town.

the girls were so shocked at the fame, they really didn’t expect to blow up. they were so busy this era, so many variety shows wanted them and so many performance shows wanted them to perform as well! they were so excited to be doing all of this!

like stated before, they gained a total of 4 wins, and 21.7 million views in 24 hours. they almost had a win for each member! nect era they are hoping for 5 wins hehe

during this era, they also had a new youtube series be released, similar to going seventeen, called MYSTERY CLUB!. this series was a series of games that revealed characteristics about love club with a twist...chaein went missing! now the girls have to play games and play trivia to get clues to find chaein!

mystery club was a huge success! a new episode aired each friday and the episodes earned 1M views in 24hrs each time!

the era was planned to be a fresh start for love club, and they couldn’t ask for it to turn out any other way <3

today, a comeback trailer for love club’s upcoming comeback was released on love club’s youtube channel. the trailer released that love club’s first ever full lengthed album would be released on february 14th, 2022, and it would be called valentine’s day.

love club will be celebrating their fourth anniversary on the album’s release, but with only three of the original members. love club and cupid have been through a lot the past two years, so it seems a full lengthed album is the best anniversary present now. the comeback trailer had reached 4 million views in under 24 hours, with over 1 million comments. people are for sure excited for the comeback!

YERIN ANNOUNCED TO DEPART FROM LOVE CLUB

the news of whether or not yerin would continue as a member of love club or not has finally been released. this morning lucky love entertainment and yerin herself released a statement regarding her departure.

hello, this is lucky love entertainment.

today we will be informing you about love club’s fellow member, yerin and her departure from the group. all love club members were given the opportunity to continue as a member of love club or not with no consequences if they signed again or did not sign, and yerin decided that she no longer has a desire to be a member of love club anymore. please respect yerin’s decision as well as the rest of love club as she continues her career. thank you.

hello cupid’s, this is yerin. i regret to tell you all that i will no longer be apart of love club. it is nothing against you cupid’s and it is nothing against the current members of love club. i will never forget the memories i have made with love club and cupids, the memories we made together will always be held close in my heart. i love you all so much, and you have made my time during love club so memorable and so sweet. but, my time in love club has come to an end. i have been thinking about this for a long time, and i think it is the best option for me to leave the group. it has been affecting my mental health as well as my physical health, and i can no longer continue being a member and stay healthy. i have experienced back pain and mental stress, so it will be best for me to depart from the group in order to keep myself healthy and safe. i hope you all support me as i navigate who i want to be and what i want to do, and i hope that you will care for my lovely members of love club. this is not the end, cupid. this is only a new beginning.

yerin’s departure from the group did not suprise cupid’s, many have seen it coming. yerin had experienced back pains all throughout her time in love club and has expressed her mental struggles multiple times to the fans. while cupid saw it coming, many are still heartbroken over the news, but are hopeful that yerin will still stay in the public eye.

LUCKY LOVE ENTERTAINMENT TO ADD TWO GIRLS TO THE LINEUP OF LOVE CLUB

JANUARY 1ST, 2022

on january 1st, love club had made their first public apperance since february 2021, making it almost a full year since love club went on hiatus. love club had posted a trailer on january 1st, including two new girls, who we now know that are xialing and chaein. love club also posted a trailer for both xialing and chaein one hour later of the release of the group trailer.

the group trailer consisted of chaein, jisoo, bomi, joomi, and xialing. cupid’s had noticed the absence of yerin from the trailer as well, leading fans to speculate that yerin had left the group. lucky love entertainment posted a statement regarding the new members after the release of both trailers.

today, two trailers were uploaded on love club youtube channel. there a multiple things have to be address.

first, yerin was not included in the group trailer that was posted this morning. this is due to yerin still deciding if she wants to rejoin love club or not. the company have given all of the girls the decision if they would want to continue as a member of love club, jisoo, bomi and joomi signed the contract once more, while yerin is still deciding. we ask that you all stay patient with yerin while she ponders over her decision, and you respect any decision that yerin makes.

secondly, we are proud to announce that love club is being removed off of hiatus. after much reflecting and time to heal from the exposure accounts, love club is ready to resume activities as a group.

and lastly, we will be announcing the addition of chaein and xialing to the group. chaein and xialing are in no way replacing former members of love club, but rather being a new additon to love club. we hope that you all love and take care of chaein and xialing during their time in love club.

many fans have welcomed xialing and chaein to the group very warmly, but others have voiced how they seem to be replacing eunbi and miyeon. fans have also expressed annoyance with the company due to the fact that they didn’t wait for yerin to make her decision.
