Something else should be arriving on Wednesday. So you know to keep an eye out :)
Thanks for letting me know
Extremely grateful to whoever got me these items from my amazon wishlist! I’m so sorry I’m late to thank you, my leasing office just let the package sit in the mail room since December??? and I only found out about it because my partner went to the mail room to pick up something they ordered recently. Ugh I’m so glad we’re moving.
But yeah! Thank you so much I can’t believe you got me items I planned on buying myself next week!! I was down to my last shitty brushes from Target and running out of large watercolor paper I use for commissions. Thank you for marking things off my to-do list of stresses! 💙
(And I wanted that cintiq glove for years!!!!!!)
First faerie of 2017. Hoping this is going to be a magical year despite my health setbacks and the yikes worthy adminstration!
here’s just a few drawings from my sketchbook I’ve been posting to my instagram
Okay whoever bought the mixed media sketchbooks and watercolor travel journal off my amazon wishlist please reveal yourself so I can properly thank you because oh my god!!??!?!?
I saw on FB that your easel broke and I was wondering if you maybe have an Amazon wishlist of art supplies or things you need?
Sorry I’m so late answering this! What a sweet message it really warmed my heart. My partner got me a new desk easel but here is my amazon wishlist with other items I need/want as an artist: http://a.co/5rFM7YS (edit: this link should work)
Mixed media sketchbooks are the priority! Thank you so much if you decide to send me something! Happy holidays <3
Donation Watercolor Postcards (12/01/2016)
I’m so sorry I need to ask for help again. Not only am I struggling to keep up with rent and my general medical bills, but I learned recently that I need to have my gallbladder removed and I do not have enough money to get it done.
I had been experiencing extremely painful gallstone attacks for a few years now, not knowing what they were or why they were happening. I got an ultrasound last month because the attacks became so frequent I thought I was dying. I was shocked to be able to clearly see stones of all sizes in the scans. My doctor told me I need surgery immediately.
If you haven’t known anyone who has gone through this, the severe pain can be described as worse than a heart attack or giving birth to a baby.
If I don’t get it out, my gallbladder could rupture and develop an infection that can be life-threatening. That surgery can easily cost several thousand dollars and I am nowhere near capable of affording it. Which is why I am reaching out to you kind and generous people.
I’ve always felt a sting of guilt whenever someone donates to my paypal. So from now on, I will send postcards to those who use the donate button on my blog or donate to my paypal directly with my email ([email protected]) no matter what the amount is.
Even if you donate $2.50, you will get your own postcard. Not a print, not a digital file, but an original hand painted watercolor postcard.
Those who donate over $45 will be able to request a custom painting on your postcard. All who donate lower than that will receive whatever I decide to paint.
If you are a fan of my artwork and have never been able to afford a commission or items from my shops, this is your chance to add my paintings to your collection. If you can only donate $1, you still get a postcard from me.
Once you donate, please email me your name and address and I’ll get started on your card right away. Your wait should never take longer than a month because I’ve started using these cards as my sketchbook.
Thank you in advance to those who donate or share this post, I appreciate all forms of help!
Another tiny faerie painting for a giveaway winner. I meant to share this last week, but I’ve been a little too sick for the patience to edit the video. Finally finished this morning! Here’s two hours of painting in 4ish minutes!
I juuust got finished uploading a timelapse of me painting this faerie. If you’re interested in my process feel free to click the video below!
A watercolor sketch created with leftover palette paint and scrap cold press paper 👍🏽
This is something I sketched on election night. Years from now I’m going to flip through the pages of this sketchbook and stop on this drawing and remember the appalling news of that bigoted pumpkin’s win. As a disabled queer person of color living in this country, I’m terrified. As an artist, I can only hope that the fear and anxiety I’m experiencing will fuel me with the urgency to continue to create art most people see as diverse but I see as normal. I could never imagine Trump or any of his supporters being interested in the work I make. And that makes me very proud.
I hope everyone stays safe for the remainder of this year and the next four. It’s going to be a bumpy road.
Little doodle after a fun night out! Just broke in this new sketchbook c:
I really missed coloring my faeries!!
Have you considered submitting your stuff to the various fairy/fantasy print magazines out there? You could! :')
Oh gosh. Yes I’ve thought about it. But I don’t know if I’m emotionally ready for all the potential rejections. I want to! I just need to feel a little more confident about my work. Thank you for thinking so though!
The best part of Inktober ending is seeing all the work from the month together in one place. Super pleasing. c:
Scanned versions will be on my new official facebook page as soon as I find a scanner better than mine to use. Please check out and like lyndezart on facebook!
