Okay, I'll explain it as best I can, because I'm also incorporating a lot of things that happen in the game. Of course, everything I imagine is VERY headcanon.
As we know, Jake says in the game that jealousy isn't his style, except with MC and Phil, so we could also deduce that perhaps his girlfriend had gotten involved with someone else and it didn't affect him because he might have realized that what they had wasn't real.
The Jake with a girlfriend that I imagine is someone young, someone who doesn't really know what he wants in a relationship because he's never had one, and he just thought the girl was pretty, so he idealized her a lot. It was more of a crush that he tried to make work, and well, I imagine Jake as the typical guy who doesn't realize he's cute, and that's what the girl noticed too (basically, it all started more with looks).
But little by little, he realized that they didn't connect the way he expected, that he was looking for something more. He didn't fall completely in love like he'd hoped. And that there was a lack of communication on intimate and personal matters.
They ended on good terms, given that they have already shown us that Jake avoids conflicts and that despite everything, they both had a nice friendship and he respected that. I imagine a long conversation about how they weren't what the other was looking for and that it was better to end things rather than prolong something that no longer existed.
Duskwood fandom in TikTok really is something,To say that Jake would cheat on mc and that Jake manipulated mc just to find Hannah. 🤦🏻

At the moment everything indicates that it is likely, given that at the moment After playing it several times, I don't see anything suspicious about the characters; it doesn't seem like we're pointing to anyone as the culprit (like in Duskwood) and no one blame us for Adam's disappearance
In Duskwood, we had as the culprit someone who simply didn't want to face the consequences of his actions by confessing to a past crime that he didn't even commit (he helped, yes, but we don't know yet if Hannah was going to involve him in the confession, but he seemed to indicate otherwise)
So hopefully in Moonvale, after episode 3 with its suspicious moments when they talk about the past, it really is something more dangerous and not just a plan by someone in the group, Repeating the same plot again would disappoint me; I want the characters to truly be in danger by investigating something that's not in their best interest
And as for Jake, we don't even know if we'll ever tell the group, least of all Jake 😅 But I don't think he was angry, more like worried. Why would he be angry in being in another case? The poor guy would probably be afraid something would happen to us, but I don't see the point in getting angry
But if he does, then it would be because he's blaming himself for getting us involved in his sister's case earlier and that it would mark us forever because of everything that has happened, not wanting us to go through another traumatic moment, but no, I don't see the point in him getting angry

So far Jake hasn't appeared; there's a bit of him at the end of episode 1 (something I already expected them to include to calm us down a bit when the episode came out), but he's not in the rest of the episodes
It's not clear when he'll appear, it remains a mystery 😭
I would love for her to appear in episode 4, even if it's just a little bit in the middle or at the end, because it's going to be a pretty tense episode for many of us, myself included 😂
