“What the Crows have made out of me?” Zevran gave a cruel sneer at the thought and turned his gaze away. That was true though wasn’t it? What the Crows had made him. Not what he made himself He tried that and it hadn’t worked. There was no escaping the Crows. You either ruled or ran forever. “About as easy as it was for the Brothel matron to sell me on the same market stand i imagine. Why?” His gaze is wary upon Fenris. He can’t possibly be here just to catch up. There’s a reason the elf followed him back to Antiva from his work in Kirkwall.
The words stung slightly but Fenris never let it show. So Zevran was the one buying slaves and encouraging the slavers to keep going. This was all the Crows doing and he knew it. The elf that he had gotten to know would not have done this, would he have? Lips pulled down slightly before lifting a shoulder.
Explaining why wasn’t as easy as he wanted it to be and let out a sigh. “I had hoped it wasn’t you, that the rumors had been wrong. You know I can’t allow this to continue, Zevran. That having you buy these children and take them into the Crows... I won’t let you continue.”
