They left the Martial Arts club or rather Marie and Luca were about to leave.
“Madeline, let’s go”
“She …is so cool…”
“Madeline, hei-”
“Did you see her maintaining all those enhancement spells?”
[Okay…she’s gone]
“We’re leaving”, Luca said as she dragged Madeline.
“HEY! LUCA!”
“We’re here to just CHECK REMEMBER?
“Oh…right”, she said as she followed. The three of them went from clubs after clubs.
Somewhere near a cliff near the campus, there was the adventuring club.
As he walked nearer, he could see familiar figures that were…charging at him?
“BROOOOOOOO”
“Hey, guy-”
They lunged at him and hugged him tight.
“GUYS! I. CAN’T. BREATHE”
He pushed them off.
“Sorry bro”, Butterouse said.
“Didn’t expect you guys to be…in this club honestly”
“Hey, Bon likes to adventure”, Bon said proudly.
Light then chuckled.
“Well, we all decided to apply together because we thought we could go to other regions…but…”
“Hmm? But, what?”
“We don’t have the budget”
“Oh…then what do you do?”
“...”
“Guys?”
“We explore the regions around this country of course”, Someone said as they dropped down.
[Huh, these seem fun]
“So, I assume you all are the new second graders, if any of you want to join, just fill up the form”
“Okay, we’ll think about it”
After several shenanigans…and the delinquents throwing Luca up high and “suggesting” him to try climbing a cliff, they continued their club searching.
Gardening club, Sports club, and then eventually…the Research club.
“So, this is the final club, huh?”
“Yes”, Marie said.
They then went inside, seeing 2 students who were sitting beside each other.
“Is this the Research club?”
They then looked at us.
“Hmm?”, The male student tilted his head.
“I assume you three are the new second graders?”, The female student asked.
“Are you…the only ones here?”
“Yes, let us introduce ourselves, I am Cecil Hartshell”
“Hey, the name’s Naga Wingchester”
[Huh, I would assume the club would be more…lively]
He then looked to his side and noticed Madeline was shaking.
[What’s wrong with her?]
“Madelin-”
“Did…you say you’re a Wingchester?”
Naga gave a concerned look.
Suddenly, Madeline stepped in front of Luca and Marie and gripped her blade.
Naga jumped in front of Claire and prepared his stance.
Both are glaring at each other.
“As our junior, I don’t think it’s proper to wield your weapon here”, Naga said.
Cecil sighed.
SIlence then filled the room.
[WHAT’S WRONG WITH THEM?]
“WOAH WOAH, CALM DO-”
“Luca…He is a wingchester”
“Huh? what’s that gotta do-”
Naga then sighed
“Seriously? That’s it?”
He put down his fist and scratched his head.
“Drugs, smuggling, murder…your family had lead all those atrocities from generations to generations”
“This again? That was an old tale”
Madeline grit her teeth.
Cecil then stepped in front of Naga.
“Cecil, don’t-”
“Madeline, this is a club regardless, if you start causing problems, I will not tolerate it”
She smiled coldly.
[Wh..what is this feeling? Why…is it suddenly…so heavy]
“Calm down, Luca”, Marie said.
“Huh?
“She’s from the Hartshell family, a well known family in the magical research department, her knowledge is vast, her applications in magic is astounding or so I’ve heard”
[Huh, I guess that means she’s as smart as Marie]
Madeline then sighed.
“Fine, but if he hurts anyone, I’ll stop him“
“I can assure you, He won’t”
“Hey, I can speak for myself, you know”, Naga said.
“I know, but I want us to maximize our study sessions," Cecil said.
[Oh? They have a study session to]
They then sat back.
“Well, we’re here more or less to study spells and mana in itself, just submit the application if you’re all interested”
Then the bell rang.
“Well, It seems we have to cut our introduction short, sorry to cause trouble”
“Nah, It’s okay, it happens”, Naga said.
As the trio walked back to class.
“So, have you decided, Luca?”
“HMmm, maybe”

As they reached the Martial art’s club room…or rather it’s more of a field.
They could hear the sounds of weapons clashing and swinging.
There were students who were practicing their weapons, some were sparring, some were even using hand to hand combat.
[Woah…this is…SO COOL]
Luca’s eyes widened.
“Hey, three of you are here”, a familiar voice called them.
Ryuko and Rei were eating on the bench.
Madeline then bowed and was shaking nervously.
“Se…Senior Ryuko, it’-”
“Hey, don’t be so formal around me, even if I am older, you don’t need to bow”, Ryuko said.
“Ye…yes”, she said.
“Are you the leader of this club?”, Luca asked.
“Well, in name only, but…”
“HEY! RYUKO!”
Suddenly a student from afar came towards us.
[Why does she look so mad?]
Ryuko then sighed.
“What is it now, Chien? I have done the paperwork right?”
“That’s not it! YOU KEEP DISAPPEARING WHEN WE’RE ALL!!”
“Hey, I don’t disappear all the time, besides I need to take care of my Hubbie”, she said.
[Seriously, she is very…blunt]
“Tch, You…you’ve changed…you weren’t …this soft”
“Hmm?”
“I CHALLENGE YOU FOR THE TITLE OF LEADER OF THIS CLUB”
The other students stopped what they were doing and gasped.
Ryuko sighed.
“You know, you can have it if-”
“NO! AS PER TRADITION, ONLY THE STRONGEST CAN LEAD THIS CLUB, SO I CHALLENGE YOU”
Ryuko sighed and said, “I really hate that rule”
She stood up.
“Okay, then, I’ll accept”
Suddenly, the wind around them grew fierce.
Chien started shaking
[WHAT… IS THIS PRESSURE?!]
Marie and Madeline were taken aback by the pressure around them.
Ryuko and Chein were standing on the sparring field.
They both looked at each other.
Ryuko looked confident, while Chien, her hands could be seen shaking as she held her rapier.
While Luca…was still feeling the pressure around them getting heavier.
[SERIOUSLY THIS PRESSURE…IS SO SUFFOCATING]
Luca then noticed beside him, Madeline was looking with stars in her eyes and Marie was…calm as usual.
[DO THEY NOT FEEL IT?]
He then looked to his other side, seeing the other students just sitting calmly.
[AM I THE ONLY ONE?]
He then noticed Rei who was still enjoying his lunch while glancing at Ryuko.
[HOW IS HE ACTING LIKE THIS IS NORMAL? I FEEL LIKE I AM GETTING CRUSHED]
Ryuko the spoke, “Okay, come at me anytime you want”
She then tugged her gloves that…glowed?
[Wait…why are her gloves glowing?]
“Good, no errors as of yet”, Rei mumbled.
[....don’t tell me…that’s one of his creations]
Chien closed her eyes and took a breath.
Her body glowed for moments as she casted several enhancements spells.
She opened her eyes and then started charging at Ryuko.
However, as she did her second step, Ryuko appeared instantly beside her and punched her sides.
Chien collapsed on the ground.
Luca gasped.
His eyes widened.
His gaping mouth almost reached the floor
[That’s…it? SHE DIDN’T EVEN USE ANY SPELLS]
The pressure around them slowly faded away.
“Luca, close your mouth”, Marie said as she closed his mouth.
“Oh, sorry…I was just..taken aback..she didn’t even cast any spells”
“Hmm? She did”
“What?”
[Look closer, human]
Luca squinted and then…he gulped
[How…how much “Strengthening” did she cast on herself?]
Several different magic circles were on Ryuko’s body.
One faded, and another one replaced it.
Then it happened again…and again…and again.
[DOES SHE JUST CAST IT EVERYTIME THE DURATION ENDS? HOW IS SHE MAINTING IT?]
Madeline and the other students clapped.
Chien looked up at the clear sky.
Her shoulder were shaking
Ryuko checked up on Chien whose eyes were filled with tears…yet…she was smiling.
“President…PRESIDENT”, She was crying and hugged Ryuko.
Ryuko sighed.
“C’mon now, don’t cry”
“I…I MISS YOU SO MUCH! WHY DID YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND?”, she said as more tears came out.
“I know, I know”, she said as she pried Chien off.
Rei smiled and approached her.
“Thank you for the gloves.”
Rei touched her hands.
‘Did…they injure you?”
“no, they are good”
“Really? I could maybe--”
“Rei”
“Hmm?”
She then lifted him up.
“It’s time to rest, now”
“Hey, Ryuko, I need to check those-”
“Now, All of you, go back to training, And…”
She then looked at all of us.
“I’ll challenge all of you if any of you want to spar”
[Seriously…is she even human?]
Luca then felt a tug on his shirt.
“Huh? what is it, Marie?”
“Let’s continue”

"So, have you decided what club you'll be joining, Luca?"
"Umm, Marie...this is still breaktime...Besides the artifact club, I haven't even seen any of these clubs"
"Then, lets use this time to check all the clubs out"
Luca then looked towards Madeline.
"I think that's a good idea", Madeline said.
"Oh...okay, I thought you wouldn't want to miss a single training day"
"Well, we can always do it another day"
"Okay then"
[Why is she smirking so smugly?]
They all then left the class to visit some of the clubs in the school.
But, as they were passing through a familiar door, Luca's eyes widened.
"GET AWAY"
He then grabbed both Madeline and Marie, pulling them to the side as an explosion happened, knocking the door away.
"What's going on here?", Madeline said.
The dust slowly settled.
A familiar man was on top of the now knocked down door.
He stood up and shrugged off the rubble.
[Of course, it's him, it's always him]
"Hmm, it seems I need to adjust the lightning magic output and it's mana capacitor is probably overloaded"
"Hey, Rei"
"Oh, Hey, Luca, what brings you here?"
"Well...we were checking out clubs"
[Doesn't he notice the sparks in his hair?]
"I see, are there any clubs you're interested in joining?"
"Umm, sorry, but...Luca, do you know this...person?", Madeline asked.
"Oh yeah you haven't met him, this is Rei, he's the artifact club's president"
"Nice to meet you all", He said.
"Oh, I see, nice to meet you, senior", Madeline said.
Rei then chuckled, "Don't be so formal, and besides, you and I are not that far in age"
"Hmm?", Luca said as he tilted his head.
Marie then said, "As I've known, Rei comes from a family of artifact conjurer, he possess the lost magic of "Tinkering" and even he had joined the artifact club before reaching the second grade"
"I didn't expect you to know that much, but I ain't anyone special"
[Wow...never knew he had lost magic]
"Well, if you all are interested, just fill out the club application forms and give it to...someone other than me"
"Huh, but you're the club leader"

"Rei", a voice from behind Rei called.
"AGHHHH", both Rei and Luca screamed.

"Have you eaten?", she said as she placed her hands on his cheeks.

"Answer"
"No..."
"Okay, then let's eat"
"But, I thought you had club activit-"
"And that's why you'll be eating there"

She then lifted him up with one arm.
Then, she noticed Luca and Marie.
"Oh, hey you two".
She then looked to the side, seeing Madeline.
"Who's this girl, your friend?"
"Oh, this is-"
"My...My name is Madeline Trinni Deelot from the House of Deelot, It's nice to meet you, senior Ryuko", She said with a smile on her face.
[Is she...nervous?]
"Ohhh, you're that knight girl, so what brings you all here?"
"We're just looking at clubs", Luca said.
"Oh, I see, if you want to, just check out the Martial club"
She, with Lei on her back, then went away.
"Why did you sound nervous, it's not like you.", Luca said as he chuckled.
"Luca...", Marie said as she sighed.
"Huh? what-"
Madeline then grabbed his shirt and started shaking him excitedly.
"She's RYUKO MANSON, THE RYUKO MANSON, from the MANSON family"
"STOP, SHAKING, ME", Luca said as he pushed her.
"And?"
"ANDDD HER FAMILY IS THE ONE WHO BUILT THE ENHANCEMENT CLASS OF MAGIC"

Madeline's eyes widened and let out a cough.

"Let's go to the martial arts club next", Marie suggested.

Finding
After the examination, the students would have their holiday.
Luca would go back to the orphanage as usual and would be greeted by his mother who clearly was worried sick because he had injured himself and never sent her a letter.
“Mother…umm…I-”
“Yes, Luca?”, she said with her eyes half opened.
While Luca was sitting in a very uncomfortable kneeling position.
“I…am sorry that I made you worried”, He said.
“I know, but…you know what happens to bad kids that makes me worry, right?”
Luca gulped.
“...yes, mother”
“Okay, now stand up and give me a hug”, she said.
He hugged her.
“I…miss you…mother”
“I know, I know”
Time would pass by fast and eventually, Luca had stepped in the second grade.
As he sat down in his usual seat, he was greeted by Madeline.
“Morning, Luca”
“Morning, Madeline”
“Morning, Luca”
“Morning, Marie…wait”
[Wait…Marie?]
“MARIE?”
“Hmm?”
“Umm, why are you sitting in the back?”
“Well, I just felt like it’s easier to communicate with you this way”

“Yeah, he is, why?”
“I think you should see this”
She then showed him a page of the “History of Spirit Magic” Book.
“This line here, read it”
“Okay”
Luca mumbled, “At one moment, the king of spirits decided to leave the spirit realm and would be never seen again till this…day”
[Wait…spirit king? Isn’t that you, Dragon king?]
[Indeed]
“So, can you ask your spirit regarding this statement?”
“Oh…okay?”
[Huh, so, why did you leave the spirit realm?]

“First of all, good job for all of you that have reached this far”
Luca’s eyes widened.
[Huh, she can be nice]
“Now, that you’ve all reached this far, it’s recommended that you join a club to improve your own skills and talents, find the one and at the end of the week, I EXPECT everyone to have at least 1 club in mind”
[Recommended, but she expects us to pick one? More like force-]
Suddenly, Luca's body shook.
She was glaring at him.
A silhouette of a tiger could be seen behind Miss Grealina.
Luca gulped.
“Anyway, also, next week a field trip will be held for all Grade 2 students, and as you all may already know, we are going to visit the spirit realm”
The whole class started murmuring, talking to the ones beside them.
“Finally”
“I’ve been waiting”
“it’s gonna be cool”
As the murmurs got louder.
Miss Grealina cracked a smile and with full frustration slammed the table, causing silence to engulf the class and…the desk cracked.
“Shut it! I am not done!”
She sighed.
“We are expecting to also meet the spirit queen in person, so be in your best behaviour”
[Huh, so that’s probably your partner, right?]
[Yes]
[Well, at least we got to meet her next week, aren’t you excited?]

Luca woke up from his slumber.

As he tried to make a fist, a sharp pain could be felt.
“Don’t move around too much yet, just rest up first”
“Yeah…that’s a good idea”
Silence then filled the room.
“Umm, Marie…what are you reading? Is it a new spell?”
“No, it’s a book about the history of spirit magic”
“Oh, that’s nice, may I see?”
“Sure”
She showed him a page of the book.
“I was reading considering when we reach the next grade, we will go to the spirit realm”
“Ohh”
Luca then read some lines of the book and then noticed a picture.
[Huh, why does this person look…oddly familiar?]
“Marie, who is this person here? She looks like you”
“Her? She’s my ancestor, Vera von Schrodinger”
[Excuse me…what?]
“Your…ancestor? Was she the one who wrote this book?”
“No, she’s the one who found spirit magic”
Luca gulped.
“Oh…I see”

Suddenly a sharp pain on his arm could be felt.
“Luca, I think you should rest”
“Well…I think I will”
Luca laid back down and closed his eyes.
As Luca rested, from afar, in the spirit realm itself…
An unknown presence said, “I am waiting…my dear”

You Did Good
Gusto extended his hand and beside him were two green colored magic circles, shooting out “Wind Blade” continuously towards Luca.
Luca kept running around, trying to approach him.
He opened his palms and clapped his hands,causing mist to spread around.
[Okay…and then…Light magic]
As the battlefield was covered, Afterimages, shadows, and silhouettes could be seen.
“You think your tricks work on me? I expected more for the one who defeated Vale”
Gusto extended his hand and casted “Tornado” to blow away the mist and the illusions.
As the mist cleared, Luca was kneeling on the ground, both his hands touching it.
“Is that all?”, he asked, but as he tried to walk, he slipped and fell on the now..muddy ground.
[CAN’T BELIEVE THAT WORKED]
Luca used fly to hover on the battlefield and prepare a straightforward punch
However, as he approached, Gusto opened his hand, blasting Tornado towards him.
‘WOAH”
Luca tried to evade, but got pushed far, hitting the barrier and face-planted on the muddy ground.
[Ow…]
After regaining his balance, Gusto casted several “Wind blades”
[OH NO]
Luca stood up and started running, however, he lost his balance not long after and got hit. The hit caused a tear on his bandages.
As the dust subsided, Luca was panting and held his right arm’s bandage
[Seriously, I should plan next time]
“I can’t believe you’re the one who killed him, You didn’t even cast barrier on yourself”
Two magic circles appeared beside Luca
Luca’s eyes widened.
Both circles shot out wind that slowly formed a sphere around him.
Suddenly, Luca could feel he couldn’t breathe.
He held his neck.
[What…the heck is this]
“Vale taught me this magic, “Wind Prison”, it uses the air that you breathe as a prison”
Luca kneeled down.
“Honestly, I expected more, considering you’ve killed him”
Luca was gasping for air.
“Unlike you, He’s my friend and you’ve killed him”, Gusto shouted.
Luca tried to stand up, but his legs weakened.
“Just give up, You can’t win”
[Seriously…I…can’t-]
[Calm down, Luca]
Luca’s eyes widened.
He closed his eyes.
He touched the ground and a green magic circle appeared.
Gusto sighed.
“This is a Beyond Mastery Spell, you can’t-”
Suddenly a “Tornado” was shot out from the circle.
Luca was able to breathe again, and the raging wind caused the sphere to slowly destabilize.
Gusto’s eyes widened.
Luca was catching his breath.
“Can’t…believe…that…worked”
[Dragon king]
[Hmm?]
[I think…I get what you mean now]
Luca slowly stood up.
“Why…Why DO YOU KEEP GETTING UP!” YOU CAN’T WIN”
Luca smirked.
“Someone…use to tell me…the victor must bear the loser’s defeat”
Gusto gave a confused look.
“Yes…I’ve killed Vale…but…that’s why”
Luca looked at him, his eyes glowed for a moment.
“I’ll live”
Gusto bit his lip.
“SHUT UP!”
He shot out more advanced level wind spells.
Luca stood there and took the hit
“WHAT DO YOU KNOW?!! HE’S THE ONLY FRIEND I HAVE AND HE’S GONE AND IT’S BECAUSE-”
Suddenly, Luca flew high to the sky.
Gusto looked up and averted his spells upwards, however…
Luca extended his right arm and opened his hand, a complex red magic circle appeared.
A smile could be seen on his face.
For a moment, he could feel a familiar presence holding his wrist.
[Marie…thank you]
“Inferno”, he said as a wave of flames burnt away the blowing winds.
Gusto casted “Barrier” to protect himself.
The heat from the flame caused him to sweat.
“You…think…your spells can pierce my barrier-”
Suddenly, Luca could be seen on the corner of his eyes.
He prepared a strengthened-enhanced punch. The bandages on his arm burnt away by his own flames.
Gusto noticed the scars on his hand. He also noticed a green magic circle on Luca’s elbow.
[Cmon…WORK!]
His punch shattered the barrier.
As the punch was connecting, Gusto tried to dodge but he felt his legs couldn’t move as he noticed..the mud had hardened.
The hit connected and Gusto was punched in the face. HIs body was knocked till he hit the wall.
As the dust and flames settled, only one student left standing.
[I…don’t know…why he didn’t…move, but…I…won?]
Claps then could be heard around the battlefield.
[It…ain’t half…bad]
Miss Grealina approached him.
“Good job, Luca, now, Go to the infirmary to get your wounds healed up”
“Okay…”
Luca sluggishly walked out the battlefield, holding his scarred right arm.
He bit his lip, enduring the pain.
[AGHHHHHHH, seriously, I just healed this and now it’s injured again]
As he walked, he remembered something.
[Wait…Marie…she said she was…waiting]
He looked in front…seeing a familiar girl that had waited for him.
As his vision started to blur, he smiled.
Before he could fall, she caught him.
“You did good…Luca”

As the training and learning days passed and…almost an unaccountable amount of all nighters…it was the exam day.
The written exam was first.
He was anxious yet he thoughtfully answered most of the questions.
[Okay…okay, I forgot some points, but that should be the gist of the fundamentals of Mastery magic]

[Hmm? What is it?]
[Nothing, you’re doing well]
[Ohh…umm…thank you, well Marie and the bros have helped me honestly]
[Indeed they did]
After the written test, the practical was next.
Luca was on the bench, awaiting his turn.
Madeline looked at him and said, “I wish you luck, Luca”
“Well, thank you, I need all the luck I can get”

As the days got near, Luca’s days were…more hectic one might say, but not for the reason you might think.
In the hideout…

He dropped the book he was holding.

He then noticed her unchanging face.

Luca sighed.
A smirk could be seen on his face.

Both of them went outside while the three delinquents cheered on for their bro.

Luca stretched and then prepared his stance.
[Light foot, Strengthening, and…Endurance]
As he casted, his body glowed for each cast.
He then dashed towards her.
Several different coloured magic circles appeared around her and she started blasting different elements of “Magical Blast”
Luca’s eyes widened.
He propelled himself sideways using “Gust” and “Create Fire”
[SHE IS NOT HOLDING BACK!]
As he attempted to avoid the blast.
However, he would be surprised by an “Earth wall” suddenly in front of him.
[OH NO]
As he stepped down, He casted “Tornado” on his feet to shoot himself upwards.
He was in the sky.
[Okay, Okay calm down]
Suddenly, several light arrows were approaching him.
Luca opened his palm and shot out “Tornado” causing the arrows to disperse and dissipate.
He then slowly fell to the ground, however, before he could hit the ground, he closed his eyes and he started flying.
Marie smirked and then opened her hand and a brown colored magic circled appeared.
[Wait..that looks familia-]
He then noticed a looming shadow on top of him. He looked up seeing an…offly giant rock slowly smashing down him.
[...You’ve got…to be kidding me]
Luca closed his eyes again.
[Okay, ARM STRENGTH PLEASE!]
His arm glowed as a couple of magic circles of “Strengthening” and “Endurance” were casted. In addition, his hand was being covered with a rock.
He then punched the giant rock, causing it to explode.
As the dust subsided, his eyes widened, Marie was in front of him.
She clapped her hands and a blinding light was emitted.
“AGHHHHHH”, He screamed as he touched his eyes and lost concentrate of his flight
[I KNEW IT WAS BRIGHT BUT AGHHHH MY EYES]
As he fell, his vision slowly returned, seeing Marie still flying on top of him.
He closed his eyes.
A green magic circle appeared on his back and he shot out “Gust” to blanket his fall. However, it forced him to fall on his face…albeit…not as hard as it should.
“BROOOOOO”, The three delinquents shouted as they approached his body.
“Owwwww”, he said.
“You okay, Bro?”, Light asked.
“I…am good…just got the wind knocked out of me”
Bon then lifted him up and patted him on the back.
Luca felt a sharp pain on his back afterwards.

All three of them then pushed him closer to her.
“Guys, hey!”, he said.

Madeline gripped her weapon and lifted it up. The blade shined and extended.
She then slashed down, causing the mist to be blown away.

She then opened her hand, blasting “Gust”.
The rocks exploded before reaching her.
As the dust settled, Luca was getting closer and closer.
He was about to open his palm, but before he had a chance to combine those spells, she pinned him to the ground.

A magic circle appeared on the ground.

As she tried to walk, suddenly she slipped and fell.

She noticed the ground below her was mud.

Marie then stood up and approached them.

“Based on what I saw, for you Madeline I suggest utilize more basic spells to be an extension of your enhancement spells, for example how you counter Luca’s exploding rocks using gust”

“For example, you could have used “Tornado” or “gust” to disperse the mist to save on your mana and both those spells don’t require as much concentration"

“Oh…umm, I just thought like Fire makes light so if i combine both, a burst may happen? Honestly, I don’t know if that makes sense”

She then opened her palms and she clapped her hands, causing a bright flash.

The magic then subsided.

His body started floating farther from the ground

He looked down. They were both flying

He then flew slightly higher, exploring the sky he never thought he could touch.

She looked at him and for a moment…a small smile appeared.

Suddenly the door opened violently.

The monster was inside.
“Oh, So that was it”, Rei said.
It created the mist again and looked towards the delinquents.
Marie then casted wind magic, dispelling the mist.
The monster didn’t stop and opened its palm. Two sets of magic circles appeared.
“AGHHHHH”.
It clapped and shot a fire tornado towards them.
“AGHHH YOU CAN’T HURT MY BRO!”
Butterouse, even when shaking in his shoes, stood up and tried to cause a small explosion, causing the attack to fizzle.
The monster then ran towards them and prepared a strengthening punch.
Bon then stepped up and prepared his own. When the two connected, Bon’s eyes widened.
Light then jumps from Bon’s back and uses his Light magic to blind it, but it stepped back, gaining distance.
It combined against a set of magic circles, causing a blinding light to engulf the room.
All of them cover their eyes.
It then noticed Rei and started approaching, however…
“Don’t you even dare”, another familiar voice appeared.
It was lifted up and slammed to the ground.
As everyone’s vision came back, they saw the monster was…on the ground.
Luca’s eyes widened and his jaw slightly dropped.
[...Yup…of course she beat it in one hit…of course]
“Ryuko, why are you-”
“Here”, she said as she extended him a sandwich.
“Thank you”
“Let’s eat here, then you can continue”
They then sat together in front of the core.
“By the way, I figured out that the summoning system was glitched, but-”
“Eat first, talk later”, She said as she leaned on him.

Suddenly Luca was lunged at by the three delinquents.

Luca gulped.
He looked down.
“Sorry…”
She sighed, but a smile could be seen on her face.
“It’s okay, Let’s just put it to the test in the hideout”
“Okay, thank you, Marie”
They then packed their stuff back in their bag, preparing to go to the hideout.
[Well, hope those 3 don’t panic like last time]
They then went out of the library and started walking in the dark hallway.
Marie locked the library.
[Now that I see it again, this school is pretty dark, but we did study till it’s late]
“AGHHHHHH”
They stopped in their tracks.
[Why does that sound familiar]
“What…was that?”
“Someone probably fell”, Marie said nonchalantly.
She kept walking.
“Hey, Wait, what if-”
“Are you referring to the monster student talking about?”
“Yeah, what if…you know-”
“It’s probably just someone playing a prank, c’mon, let’s go”
She grabbed his hand.
Luca blinked.
Her grip was firm, yet…she was…shaking?
[Is she…scared?]
He held her hand.
“Well, let’s go then”
She averted her gaze.
“Yeah”
[Well, never expect her to be scared, but she’s probably right, it’s probably nothing]
“AGHHHHHH, HELPP!”
They stopped in their tracks.
The voices were closer.
“I…don’t think it’s just someone”
[...Why did I jinx myself]
“HELP HELP HELP”
[Wait…why does that sound familia-]
Luca then casted “Light” and saw from the distance…three…familiar figures.
[...WHY ARE THEY HERE]
Luca sighed.
“BROOOOO”
“HELP US”
“IT’S CHASING US!”
They then hid behind the both of them.
“Guys, it’s late why are you guys even here in the first-”
Luca’s and Marie’s eyes widened.
[...oh you’ve got to be kidding me]
Marie started shaking more.
“Luca…”
He looked at her.
[She never had that expression before]
Luca gulped.
In front of them…was a humanoid figure that was covered in some sort of armor.
It looked scaly and it had a helmet that covered its face that looked like a dragon.
On its back were wings and its hands were practically claws.
[It’s the monster, but…Why does that look oddly familiar?]
The monster then stepped closer. It opened its palm. Different colored magic circles appeared on his palm and he clapped.
Mist started spreading everywhere.
[Huh, he can make mist that’s…WAIT WE SHOULD RUN]
