Do other Chaos Walking fans remember when the tag was full of memes, and heartfelt ramblings, and discussions, and incredible artwork, and character analysis’s, and miss it?

Because I know I do when I look at it and just see photos of Tom Holland. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really happy for the hype of the film because I can’t wait until more people read the books and fall in love with the brilliant storytelling and characterisation, but I feel like the old fandom of dedicated book readers has been replaced by Holland’s fans who don’t seem to show any interest in the series at all. Yet.

Maybe this will change over time, or maybe it won’t but I just wanted to get this out because it’s been bothering me for a while now. Thanks for reading.

Davy

The whole thing with Davy and how he grows to care for Todd and consider him a friend is just really emotional, like all he wanted was acceptance from his father and a friend in Todd, but instead he gets the cruelest ending.

In the Arena of the Ask during Viola’s Asking, he is literally so worried about poor Todd and tries to leave to see if he’s okay and I’m just like this is way too sad.

Important

I want to see Spackle portrayed correctly in the movie. I don’t want some weird-ass completely scary alien beings, they need to be somewhat human.

As described in the book, they need to have “swollen” human facial features, with their mouth slightly higher than that of human’s, and all their features kind of elongated and stretched.

It would be so easy for the Spackle to be made into these kind of horror-film style villains m without a shred of humanity, but I want justice for the Spackle! An accurate representation of Spackle is what we need!
