How about some sexy Striker? ;)
Thinking about how desperately Striker wants to be a main player, not a comic relief or expendable side character or a background npc, or one off villain. How he wants to be someone the upper circles of hell know, someone talked about with respect. No one is there to hype him up, so he hypes himself up. Builds statues of himself in his own lair, puts on airs of someone much more important than he actually is, while seething about the fact that no one cares about imps. Imps are either servants or clowns, and Striker is desperate to not be either.
But he is. He tells himself that he is on a great crusade against the nobility, while in actually he is funded and ordered around by a noble. He wants to be someone the Goetias fear, while in reality Stella and Andrealphus treat the whole assassination as a joke. They are giggling and drinking in their mansion, treating the whole thing like a cruel prank of no particular weight, ordering their tool to stop when the prank no longer amuses them. Even Stolas treated the whole thing as a mild inconvinience, before Striker started carving him up, at which point it turned more into an offence. That is the truth of Striker’s great crusade.
I don’t think Striker is some kind of an antihero, but there is something sympathetic in his situation. Because he is an imp, he will never even be allowed to be a serious villain. Whatever tragedy kickstarted his spiral of hate, it will never be allowed to truly blossom into true respectable villainy. Yes, he is unpleasant and willing to kill his fellow imps for an advantage, but in the eyes of the Goetia….he will never be nothing more than a clown.
And I do think that the absolute main difference between Blitz and Striker is not actually that Blitz is willing and desperate to have some kind of positive interpersonal relationships. It’s that while the idea of being laughed and disrespected is a huge chip on Blitz shoulder, for Striker the idea of being laughed and disrespected is so traumatizing, so destroying, that he will destroy himself in that suicidal quest to be feared and respected by the nobility.
“Oh, I remember how easy you are to choke the life out of, little one.”
(Striker headcanons I've been thinking of for a while know)
Striker has owned Bombproof since he was a child and is the only rider the horse will allow on him.
Striker was born and raised by a single mother on her family’s farm in Wrath for most of his childhood.
As a child he wanted to be a musician, which his mother had supported wholeheartedly, buying him his first guitar and encouraging him to perform for their family.
Despite his rougher aesthetic and the imp enjoys baking because it reminds him of baking with his mom when he was a kid.
Striker lives in the abandoned railroad now because he likes the bad guy aesthetic, but originally it was because he couldn’t afford to live anywhere else.
He’s a sucker for love songs and will play them around the house when he’s with a +romantic partner so he has an excuse to dance with them.
The imps that sing Striker’s theme song in “Western Energy” follow him around and sing his song as a show of gratitude because he once saved one of the members of their group once. At first he didn’t mind it, but now it seems that they pop up everywhere he goes with the same song every time.
His eyes have the ability to hypnotize others, something he took full advantage of as a kid.
Striker is biromantic and demisexual.
Being a hybrid imp causes Striker’s snake-like characteristics, one of which is that the rough and tumble imp is actually cold-blooded. Everything he wears is specifically designed with that fact in mind so his body temp stays in a safe range while he works.
While he’s actually a really good cook, he would live off of ramen if given the choice.
The jacket he wears is rather short on him and you can actually see the stitches sometimes. While most people think this is a fashion choice, Striker’s jacket is actually one of the last things his mother made for him before he left home. He considers it his good luck charm and wears it every day, repairing it a bit as needed.
He shot the last person who referred to Bombproof as his pet because he considers the horse to be family and he treats him as such.
Being cold-blooded, Striker tends to be very affectionate with the few other demons he’s close to. He enjoys hugging and cuddling and he often calls it “basking in their warmth”.
Ironically, he hates western movies because he feels like they're all poorly done and he thinks his western/country roots are never well represented.
