Been working on some letterforms - and sidetracking into stylizing etc... Sometimes I feel the need to see the letters in a context that isn’t limited to a blank canvas. And yes, that is definitely a Stranger Things vibe going on - even a quote actually! And I don’t usually hold much love for quotes... What is going on!?

A powerful, almost godly - yet somewhat devious and mysterious name. Atleast that’s what I’d like to think.

“Heart Machine” So, I wanted to make something in the vein of my “Surge” piece - and so this evolved. The name just struck me as I’ve been really looking forward to this upcoming game called Hyper Light Drifter, made by the developers Heart Machine. Thus, I sort of highjacked the name since I felt it fit nicely with the overall feel of the piece - also the piece was sort of reminding me of their logo at the same time. "Pyxis Type"

Decided to make something typographic based on my earlier Pyxis piece. This spells out the word "pyxis", which means "box" - in greek. That's why the letters might look a bit funky and all. The inspiration for these pieces came from the story of Pandora's Box.

Quick digital collage. I sometimes have a hard time deciding when something is finished or not. Deciding things overall. Most of the time. Actually, pretty much all the time...

"N"

Recently I started drawing portraits again. It's been awhile, but I haven't forgotten everything - or so it seems. This was done with graphite, reference picture and some digital touch-up obviously. I'll let you figure out the rest.

"Weep"

My dad spilt some coffee on the dinner table - I took a photo of it and sliced it up into this. There's a saying that goes: "Don't cry over spilt milk". My dad never seems to do that. I wish I didn't either.

"AFourth" Came home after a nights stroll and saw the moon from the quartyard, sitting atop of the buildings. It was framed by linear paths in the sky which I'm guessing had been the product of a couple of airplanes flying by. A few power cables and streetlights were also adding to the scenery. It's amazing how such a mundane event can bring so much inspiration, and awaken the desire to create. The textures used are from the ever-so-great texturefabrik and ninjarabbit. Check em out.
