With the sudden loss of our beloved glittering godmother of neo-burlesque, miss Dixie Evans, I know many producers/performers are faced with the dilemma of how to proceed with Dixie Evans Week...I have an idea of how we can come together and celebrate the life of an amazing woman... Let's make it an annual event and change the fundraiser into a  "Dixie Evans Burlesque Legends Fund"   ...A special evening that we can raise proceeds to aid any of our burlesque legends in the future. Whether from natural disaster, financial hardship, or illness. It would be a wonderful way of honoring a woman who gave her absolute passion and commitment to uniting a community, all while giving back to the incredible performers who paved the way for all of our glittering burly-q dreams.  Sending all my love, hugs, and kisses to everyone who's heart hangs low this weekend, we were all so incredibly lucky to have had such a dedicated woman looking out for us future peelers! Long live the art of burly-q, and the memory of a beautiful legend.
